Your role as Transportation and Customs Administration Assistant
The Transportation and Customs Department is one of the pillars of Integrated Supply Chain, with a strong connection towards Production and the other departments within Integrated Supply Chain, being Demand planning, Production Planning and Material Planning.

The Transportation and Customs Administration Assistant is responsible and accountable for arranging transport and preparing the proper customs and transportation related documents.

You provide operational solutions in case of issues with transportation or customs. You also continuously look for ways of improving our processes so we can work in a more efficient manner.

Other tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Planning and arranging shipments to our customers throughout the world (air, sea, road, samples,..) and internal shipments between the different factory-sites in Europe;
  • Preparing all transportation and customs related documents and administrative follow-up;
  • Handling of transportation and customs issues (complaints, non customs-clearances,…) ;
  • Approval of transport-invoices;
  • Project related support (testing of new customs system, tendering procedures,…);
  • Follow up on transportation KPI’s / OTIF / Shipment Planning

What is needed for you to succeed?

You are accustomed to working in an international company as a Teamplayer collaborating with colleagues from different locations and internal and external stakeholders. You are enthusiastic, accurate and assertive. You work with a strong drive, getting your energy from achieving your goals.
You possess good business acumen and demonstrate excellent communication skills as you interact on different levels.

Other requirements:

  • Bachelor degree, preferably in Logistics and /or Customs
  • Knowledge of transportation (experience in transportation or logistics environment – CMR regulations – Incoterms )
  • Knowledge of customs ( export-declarations, transit of goods, certificates of origin, preferential agreements, global trade, customs compliancy..)
  • Knowledge of EMCS (Excise Management & Control System) and excise legislation is a strong asset
  • Strong administrative skills and very accurate
  • Proactive and pragmatic;
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Danish;
