About the department At Novo Nordisk, we have an increased strategic focus on external innovation, business development and partnering. Integration & Strategic Alliances is a part of Corporate Development responsible for creating value from partnerships, alliances and acquisitions. The Commercial Partnerships team drives excellence in creation and execution of strategic partnerships that maximise potential of Novo Nordisk’s commercial products by facilitating best-in-class deal making and building capabilities. The job As our new Global Project Lead, Commercial Partnerships, you will have the following key responsibilities: Establishing and maintaining Novo Nordisk’s Commercial Partnerships framework and expertise hub, creating a relevant platform, tools, trainings and driving continuous improvement; it is your role to take over and build a best-in-class expert network and knowledge sharing platform across the organization Actively participating in and driving the assessment and execution of commercial partnerships in collaboration with Transaction Leads and relevant stakeholders (such work would include pipeline building, identification of potential opportunities, deal making, structuring and negotiating deals) Leading the establishment of best practices for assessing and setting up commercial partnerships and ensuring networking with and knowledge transfer internally within the commercial organization and externally Managing large scale/complex strategic projects with a broad variety of interactions with key senior stakeholders across the value chain and multiple EVP/SVP areas At Novo Nordisk, your skills, dedication and ambition help us change lives for the better. Qualifications A Master’s degree in Life Science, Business or other relevant field. At least 5 years of relevant experience in consulting, pharmaceutical organizations or business development/commercial is preferrable Demonstrated track record of setting up and managing complex projects and cross-organizational initiatives Demonstrated ability to build rapport with external players, industry professionals and internal stakeholders Proven ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders Ability to solve complex problems independently by getting to the core and clearly communicating scenarios, impact and recommendations to the decision-makers Understanding of commercial partnerships and the eco system involved in commercialisation of pharmaceutical products preferred Firm understanding of multicultural impact on business relationships including experience in working in an international context and environment Strong communication and presentation skills using relevant tools. Ability to successfully navigate internal dynamics, experience working in a global matrix organization preferred Travel is expected according to what is needed in connection with setting up key partnerships. The successful candidate You will have strong project management, organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills with a high degree of flexibility. You possess high intellectual capacity and have a strong personal drive and dedication, are assertive and able to ensure progress in a difficult stakeholder landscape. You are a strong communicator and are fluent in English. Further, you should thrive in a changing environment with a positive team-player attitude even with pressure and pace.
