The position As Project Lead, you will join a team of highly talented and ambitious project managers with consulting and/or procurement backgrounds reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, Project Office and Sustainability. You will be responsible for running strategic projects at the top of the Global Procurement organisation’s agenda (e.g., identifying and executing optimisation projects related to organisation and processes, driving large outsourcing initiatives). Furthermore, you will play a central role in the Project Office, acting as informal lead for more junior colleagues and assisting the Director in other leadership tasks, such as recruiting. Qualifications To thrive and succeed, we expect you to have:
  • Solid project management and leadership toolbox in place, preferably within procurement projects
  • 3-5 years of experience from a top tier management consultancy or similar
  • Master’s degree (e.g. in economics, business administration, finance, engineering, supply chain management or similar) with excellent results
  • Fluent English
  • As a person, you are known for your strong drive, structured approach, and ability to create results. You have excellent interpersonal skills, a flair for stakeholder interactions, and ability to motivate others. Furthermore, you can communicate clearly and concisely. About the department You will join the Project Office team within Corporate Procurement, an in-house management consulting unit that runs global, strategic, high-impact projects. You will get a unique chance to develop your leadership skills, use your project management toolbox to make a difference and have ample exposure in a global organisation in a time where procurement excellence is prominent on the corporate agenda. In Corporate Procurement we are 150 employees in Denmark and India, and globally more than 400 people work in procurement throughout the organisation responsible for approx. 75% of Novo Nordisk’s spend and for setting the strategic direction. Corporate Procurement is Novo Nordisk’s centre of excellence for category strategies, digital procurement and purchasing processes.
