Are you a senior leader and experienced in managing and negotiating with C-suite stakeholders? Are you capable of managing the complexities of a Digital Transformation, translating your vision into tangible value?Join Novo Nordisk’s global clinical development area (Development) and head up the global digital transformation team. You will lead a capable organisation that will take digitalisation to the next level across Development for the benefit of patients.About the department
Digital Transformation is an organisation in Development and headquartered in Copenhagen. Development is headed by an Executive VP and has 3,500 employees globally in 7 areas: Clinical Drug Development, Data Science, Development Sustainable Business, Devices and Delivery Solutions, Global Medical Affairs, Submissions & Life Cycle Management, Development Strategy & Portfolio.
The position
As Global Head of Digital Transformation in Development you will have a direct report to the Executive Vice President. You will lead a management team of 4-5 direct reports and an organisation of 30 employees that will define the digitalisation agenda and drive its execution across all areas in Development.You will do this in alignment with the digitalisation units in the Senior Vice President areas in Development and the wider Novo Nordisk organisation. Your core mission will be to modernise the supporting IT system architecture and make sure that the portfolio of digitalisation products across the different units are streamlined and optimized.You will develop long- and short-term business strategies and plans within digitalisation in line with the strategy in Development and the overall Novo Nordisk strategy, and you will oversee implementation of these. You will build capabilities, coordinate change management, and drive the organisational mindset change across Development and you will ensure digitalisation portfolio transparency, progress tracking and value capture.Qualifications
You have a strong background as a senior leader within digitalisation from clinical development and you have a strong track record with agile digital product development from a global life science company. In addition, you possess a good understanding of IT governance that makes you capable of advising on the IT landscape across the units in Development. Your background within digitalisation includes a network from academia or commercial partners that has capabilities withing cutting-edge technology.You are recognized for your effective communication and stakeholder management (internal and external) skills, and your ability to create and drive a cross-functional strategy within digitalisation in a diplomatic and assertive way. In addition, you are excellent in getting followship from your team and demanding stakeholders, and you have developed a strong business acumen that makes you excellent in working with senior management.As a person you are innovative and curious, and you are a mindful leader that is known for your ability to inspire and create buy-in and followship. In addition, you are known to drive performance and deliver quick wins. Senior leaders in Novo Nordisk are expected to be change management agents, well-structured and dedicated leaders with a cross-organisational focus demonstrating high integrity and a proactive mind-set.Contact
