Can you see yourself in the position of working collaboratively with stakeholders from all levels of the organization and our external supplier base? Do you like diving into details to find the best solution in a fast-growing environment? The position
As our new Project Manager, you will drive key projects that define the strategic direction of Investment | Engineering & Sourcing (IES).
What does driving key projects entail? When looking back over your first year in IES, you will have achieved something like the below and a steep learning curve on what we do in IES:
• Strategy work
In the beginning of the year, you have dialogues together with the entire function and key stakeholders to develop the IES priorities. The IES priorities ensure continuous focus on what our customers need. Key elements will include how to scale our engineering and sourcing services as well as the solutions of our global supplier’s base to meet the increased capacity needs of our production sites – while living up to our promise of being a sustainable employer and aiming for net zero emissions by 2045. You will identify champions for these different priorities and ensure that throughout the year we stay focused on these priorities. Celebrations of milestones with cake are usually a very effective tool to do so.
• EA-type of tasks to IES Management
You will also have supported IES Management with several ad-hoc tasks. Those can include presentations to upper management, preparation for our organisational development plan (ODP) in line with HR/Finance processes and/or driving decision making by providing data insights. To ensure a broad angle on strategic priorities and buy-in you build up valuable connections with colleagues from other functions across PSQIT and our global suppliers.
• Project execution
Over the past year, many of our suppliers have joined us in our efforts to address climate change by reducing their environmental footprint using renewable power sources. As a next step you will develop a roadmap to reach net zero by 2045 in close collaboration with another team member and our global supplier base. Together, you will have investigated several options that have the potential to decarbonize our value chain (scope 3 emissions). That will also entail that we and our suppliers are aligned on when and how those could implement. You will be able to explain on an important level on how we can reach net zero but also know the details behind the different initiatives.
• Informal leadership
Lastly, you will have established yourself as a valuable and respected member of the IES team. Colleagues will come to you for sparring on execution of projects, your strategic thoughts about their focus area, or your advice on how to build an effective story line for important messages they want to bring across. You will also take informal leadership of more junior colleagues and enable them to drive change for our customers in the capex projects.
Sounds like something you will be proud to have achieved and have personally learned something along the way? Qualifications
• You hold a master’s degree in economics, engineering, business or similar
• You have 3-8 years of relevant work experience within project execution, financial processes, optimisation projects or steering complex processes
• You independently break down business challenges and issues into practical solutions
• You can build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders at all organisational levels
• You are fully proficient in English Studies show that members of underrepresented communities do not apply unless they are 100% “qualified”. If this is part of the reason you hesitate to apply, we ask you to reconsider and give it a chance. Maybe your profile fits our needs much better than you think. About the department
Investment | Engineering & Sourcing is part of the Product Supply organisation. Product Supply is a modern technology organisation that proactively drives the purpose of Novo Nordisk and delivers the highest quality of products to patients in a sustainable and efficient way. In IES, we play a key role in ensuring that there is sufficient capacity to treat our patients worldwide.
