Are you motivated by the thought of reducing Novo Nordisk’s impacts and dependencies on nature and biodiversity? Do you want to be responsible for parts of our nature plan in close collaboration with colleagues and external partners? As part of our growing focus on nature and biodiversity, you will be part of setting the strategic direction and shaping our efforts on integrating impacts and dependencies on nature into our strategies, targets, and operations. For us, it is essential to fast-track improvements now. To support our nature and biodiversity journey your main task will include: Developing and executing on how to improve on nature and biodiversity for sourcing of key raw materials including agricultural products in close collaboration with scope 3 activities, sourcing units, suppliers, and external partners Executing water roadmap for improvements in areas with water stress globally, working both on a strategic level and at water shed level with Novo Nordisk production sites, local stakeholders and partners Driving tools, data and metrics for measuring, improving and reporting on nature and biodiversity with close link to Life Cycle Assessment and other data tools. Be part of developing our overall roadmap for nature and biodiversity to include new nature areas as land use, natural resources, pollution, and biodiversity Identify, shape and launch flag-ship projects with external partners and academia You will also support and collaborate with internal stakeholders on nature and biodiversity related topics and engage with external parties on new frameworks as Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosure (TNFD) and Science Based Targets Network (SBTN). Our approach to nature and biodiversity change is closely connected to Novo Nordisk environmental strategy called ‘Circular for Zero’ including our net zero in 2045 target on climate.
Qualifications Master’s degree in Engineering, Biology or another relevant field with excellent results You have +4 years’ experience in the nature and/or biodiversity area Specific nature areas at expert level Project management Stakeholder Management at all levels As a person, you are results oriented and can navigate in a multi stakeholder landscape. You feel comfortable engaging with stakeholders at different levels and from all parts of the organisation globally. You master English orally and in writing. Furthermore, you are proactive and independently working.

Corporate Environmental Strategy is a diverse team responsible for ‘Circular for Zero’, where we strive for zero environmental impact. Our responsibility includes a variety of environmental initiatives across the organisation and with external stakeholders. We develop and deploy environmental strategies, run cross- organisational projects, drive environmental intelligence and ensure internal and external communication leading to a reduced Novo Nordisk environmental footprint.Our sister department in production is called Environmental & Social Sustainability and is responsible for the facilitating environmental and nature improvements across our global production areas. EachBoth areas consist of 15-20 dedicated project managers and specialists, all highly engaged in driving the environmental strategy of Novo Nordisk.
