The position We are looking for an intern to conduct an in-depth waste analysis, aimed at increasing recycled waste and ensuring more waste has a circular destination. The internship and project align with Novo Nordisk's sustainability strategy, Circular for Zero, which aims to achieve the ambitious target of zero environmental impact. You will work closely with the Environmental Partner and other stakeholders across the organization and has the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of waste management and sustainability in an innovative and ambitious pharmaceutical company. As an intern, you will: Conduct waste mapping activities to identify, assess, and categorize waste flows, types, and quantities across the organization Engage with stakeholders such as operators, supporters, and technicians to gather data and identify opportunities for waste reduction, improved sorting and handling of waste, and recycling Prepare reports and flow charts based on the analyses Work closely with the sustainability team to ensure that waste management strategies align with our sustainability goals The internship will provide valuable knowledge on GMP-controlled aseptic production, environmental management and compliance, circular economy, and waste in Novo Nordisk. You will receive a thorough onboarding and introduction to the IFP production site in Bagsværd. Students must be enrolled at a university through the entire internship period. Internships are remunerated if your educational track allows. We are happy to discuss flexible working, depending on the role and subject to business needs. Qualifications Currently, you are enrolled in a relevant degree program, such as Environmental Science, Sustainability, or Waste Management. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (including Danish and English) Basic knowledge of waste management principles and sustainability practices Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools If you are passionate about sustainability, and waste management, and are looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, we encourage you to apply. About the department Injectable Finished Products, Bagsværd (IFP BA), is an aseptic filling factory with approx. 800 employees producing marketed insulin and obesity products for patients around the world. You will be positioned in Facility and EHS Support, which is a team anchored in Business Support, a department of approx. 70 employees across various areas such as project management, logistics, training, lean, digitalisation, and facility management. In the team we are responsible for Environment, Health, and Safety support along with Facility maintenance/projects, planning annual factory shutdowns, etc. We enjoy an informal atmosphere and a good sense of humour.
