The position You will have the chance to experience many exciting challenges, ranging from scanning markets for suitable suppliers to ensuring already approved suppliers’ ability to deliver products and services to our production sites and sales markets. As an intern in Strategic Sourcing, you will support different sourcing categories in the daily work of running tenders and preparing for negotiations, approving suppliers, driving cross-functional projects, and being updated on market dynamics. You will also be involved in tasks related to various markets and extensive data analysis used for developing long-term sourcing strategies, preparing business cases, as well as up and downstream supply chain impact on different scenarios. Internship period: 6-12 months Working hours: Full-time (37 hours a week) Start date: February 2024 This is a paid internship, provided that your studies allow remuneration A Danish full-time work permit is a prerequisite for non-EU citizens Being an intern in Strategic Sourcing means that you will get the unique opportunity to join one of our dynamic, international, and high-performing teams. Qualifications You are currently a first or second year Master's student in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Engineering, or an equivalent field. Experience with Excel and PowerPoint Strong personal drive dedication and problem-solving skills Thrive in a busy environment and able to bring a “can-do” attitude Positive-minded with a healthy sense of humor Fluency in oral and written English as English is our office language As a person, you have willingness and responsibility for your learning. While working in a team you bring sound personal judgment and a strong working ethic. About the department Strategic Sourcing is the central sourcing unit in Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply division. This means that we are responsible for all strategic sourcing activities related to Novo Nordisk’s worldwide pharmaceutical production and supply to sales affiliates. Strategic Sourcing is responsible for setting global strategic direction, and for driving long-term supply chain planning to optimise our commercial opportunities and balance risks. We collaborate closely with our key internal stakeholders in Purchasing, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing Development, international production sites, and sales affiliates. Together we develop and execute sourcing strategies, supplier development, market insights, risk management, and contract management to improve performance on delivery, quality, and cost – always in line with Novo Nordisk’s Triple Bottom Line: balancing financial, social, and environmental considerations. Strategic Sourcing consists of around 90 individuals from more than 20 different countries and a great variety of educational backgrounds including Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering, Science, and Legal.
