Corporate Vice President for Local Manufacturing in Novo Nordisk

About Local Manufacturing

Local Manufacturing is responsible for establishing and operating local manufacturing production facilities in countries, where local presence is required to obtain market access and be allowed to serve the patients. Our production processes are tabletting, aseptic formulation/filling, assembly and pack of diabetes care products for the local markets.

We have operating sites and/or projects to establish local manufacturing in Algeria, India, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Japan and other markets.

The position

You will be head of the area responsible for establishing and operating all of Novo Nordisk local manufacturing sites – including the ways of collaborating with contractors and suppliers as well as defining the technologies matching the needs. This includes a close collaboration with affiliates to define the right business models based on our insights within manufacturing and supply chain.

The job also contains the obligation to drive the Local Manufacturing organisation with a focus on learning and sharing knowledge, which will constantly renew the organisation and create an environment, where capabilities used across boundaries will increase the performance.

You will serve as a role model for the Novo Nordisk Way and will own the strategy and business plans in your area of responsibility, while ensuring the delivery of products to our patients timely, with highest quality, at a competitive cost and in an environmentally sound way.

Qualifications

You hold a Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a similar graduate degree within a relevant field backed by 10+ years of experience with management and operations management in the pharmaceutical industry. You have experience from complex and business critical senior leadership roles in an international environment.

You easily identify opportunities for improvement, change, or adapt existing methods and techniques drawing on personal experiences and feedback.

You enjoy setting a clear direction and building a positive and strong can-do culture. You can lead through and with others, and in a complex stakeholder landscape. You demonstrate and utilise thorough insights into the business and can work strategically to identify and address the drivers of success and development for the business. You enjoy the challenges associated with supporting multiple activities simultaneously.
