Director of DDS Digitalisation & Process Improvements (DDS Digital Lead)

About the department
DDS Strategic Development is a central function in the DDS SVP area (350+ FTEs) where we leverage a strong link to the external landscape to drive strategic development of the DDS organisation to effectively build and progress a leading pipeline of delivery solutions. We drive strategy development and drive and facilitate execution through a combination of strategic resource allocation, portfolio strategy and management, external sourcing and alliance management, digitalisation and process improvement and strategic communication.
Like all other areas in the Development organisation, we are now taking important steps to increase our focus on digitalisation and through this improve the way we work, both across the DDS and across the Development organisation where we collaborate on integrated product development.
The position
You will report to the VP and Head of Strategic Development. You will be responsible for leading and building a focused team driving digitalisation and process improvements of our internal processes and workflows. As head of this team, you will be the Digital Lead for DDS, and you will represent the DDS Leadership Team in a cross-functional Digitalisation Leadership Team collaborating across the Development area.
As head of the area your primary responsibility is to oversee and shape the area and ensure development of people in the unit. The team will consist of a few Product Owners for internal systems, an IT Portfolio Analyst, System Managers and a focused team of Process Improvement Experts. To succeed you must ensure strong alignment with a complex mix of stakeholders across Novo Nordisk when developing recommendations.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track-record of driving digitalisation/digital transformations of the operations in complex organisational setups and bring strong and well-documented leadership and communication capabilities.
We encourage candidates with a variety of backgrounds to apply, but you are required to have a relevant high-level education and solid experience within digitalisation and digital transformation, potentially within the pharma/MedTech industry. This is combined with people management experience either from a relevant consultancy where you have hands-on experience or from previous positions in a relevant company.
As a person, you are ambitious, flexible and your interpersonal skills are second to none, enabling you to build trusting relationships across organisational levels and drive the needed change management and secure business continuity.
You have a track-record of developing people, both in your formal line of responsibility and through informal leadership.
You are a strong presenter and motivator which allows you to create buy-in to your initiatives. This is combined with strong negotiation skills. As a leader you are able to prioritise efforts to maximise the impact of your team and in this environment, you are recognised as a strong collaborator and facilitator and can identify solutions to complex challenges that meet stakeholder expectations.

- Digitalising the way, we work in DDS to ensure seamless integration with the Novo Nordisk product development process and collaboration with external partners
- Partner with the DDS Line of Business (LoB) organisation to drive digitalisation and process improvement transformations to enable efficient and automated regulated development
- Drive cross-functional process improvement initiatives in DDS and provide training and expertise in process improvement best practises to the DDS organisation
- Ensure ambitious target setting for relevant productivity metrics for DDS to guide ambition level and focus for cross-functional digitalisation and process improvement initiatives
- Ensure state of the art IT System ownership and management
