The position
You will report to the Head of Sourcing & Alliance Management, and you will be part of a strong team of highly experienced individuals.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Identification, evaluation, negotiation and entering of key device partnerships • with critical impact on the Novo Nordisk business.
  • Building & maintaining external partnerships and vendor governance. Take on selected administrative tasks related to among other areas, DDS internal • consultants.
  • Support and participate in DDS S&AM Roadshows, strategy development dialogues, workshops etc.
  • Build processes, templates & best practices enabling robust and structured analysis, overviews and data packages for negotiations and due diligence in order to manage and mitigate business risk.
  • Support and initiate sourcing and Alliance Management activities incl. Request for Information and Request for Proposal (RFx) processes.
  • To succeed you must be ready to learn, build competences and network. A key is to ensure strong alignment with a complex landscape of stakeholders across DDS, Development, Research & Early Development, Product Supply, Commercial, Quality and Finance to ensure that alliances and partnerships are optimally managed and offers maximal realisation of value. Qualifications
    The ideal candidate will have a profile which includes:
  • Technical, business and/or legal competencies. You are a recently graduated candidate with about 1-3 years of relevant experience. High-level life-science and/or commercial/legal/finance focused education at M.Sc. level.
  • Ready to learn and develop competences within device sourcing & alliance management for future added responsibilities in the area. If you have experience or insight in working with software as a Medical Device (SaMD) and/or digital health solutions that would also be relevant.
  • Ability to handle complexity and consolidate data in an international environment. (International mindset is a requirement).
  • Negotiation capabilities/experience would be an advantage and experience from the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
  • As a person, you are accountable, flexible and you have excellent interpersonal skills enabling you to build trusting relationships in a cross-cultural and international setting across areas and organisational levels. You have some commercial, financial, legal & contractual understanding.
    You are a good communicator with the ability to consolidate and convey complex information. You work well in a team as well as autonomously and you have a good and balanced sense of urgency and a positive mindset. About the department
    DDS Sourcing & Alliance Management is a part of DDS Strategic Development. The Strategic Development Area is responsible for strategy development and execution across the DDS SVP area with around 400 employees. We drive strategy development and strategy execution through strategic resource allocation, portfolio management, communication and external scouting, sourcing and alliance management.
    The Sourcing & Alliance Management department has two main areas of responsibility. Firstly, the unit is responsible for search and evaluation of innovative external partnerships scoped for devices and delivery solutions including Software as Medical Devices (SaMD). Secondly, the unit is responsible for the management, the processes and the structures securing value adding and trusting alliances and partnerships.
