Apply now! The position We are looking for someone who is motivated by and enjoys problem conceptualization, developing models, and analysing solutions for improving decision-making. Specifically, you will: Identify and formulate mathematical problems, e.g., MILP, for supply chain analysis, capacity planning, production planning, and scheduling Apply these models to improve the basis for decision-making This job gives you a great opportunity to play a part in shaping the future of Pharmaceutical manufacturing across the organization, in close collaboration with similar teams in research and manufacturing in Novo Nordisk. Since the nature of the job is student-based, we try and ensure that you can network within the company and develop and learn how to apply R&D concepts to real-world, industrial problems. Additionally, you will gain experience in working within a development and manufacturing environment, and experience how data can be utilized with the current trend of industry 4.0. Qualifications You are currently enrolled in the 1st year of an MSc programme within the field of Industrial Engineering and Management, Business Analytics, Mathematical Modelling, and/or Chemical Engineering at Danish University. If you are currently finishing your BSc thesis you are also welcome to apply. About the department As part of Novo Nordisk’s Product Supply organization, Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients is responsible for manufacturing all API for Novo Nordisk’s products. You will work for the IM2 Bioprocess Improvement-Optimization (IM2 BIO) group, which was founded in October 2020. IM2 is the oldest manufacturing area in Kalundborg and is where you will be allocated. The team currently consists of 10 highly skilled colleagues, who are working with advanced model-based approaches for understanding and designing bioprocesses of the future. In IM2 BIO, we have a problem-solving mindset, working in a dynamic environment to convert engineering challenges into opportunities. We tackle these challenges through Multiscale Modelling where we have activities in Manufacturing Intelligence, Mathematical Modelling, Mechanistic Modelling, Process Control Modelling, Capacity Modelling and Supply Chain Optimization Modelling. Briefly, we aim to navigate a complex design and decision space for each domain of the multiscale. As our new colleague, you will be joining us in one of these activities.
