DIS is looking for a highly organized and service-minded student activities coordinator to our Copenhagen office.
DIS is a non-profit study abroad program for students from American universities. We have locations in Stockholm and Copenhagen and provide semester, academic year, and summer programs taught in English.
Who are we?
The Housing and Student Life Department is a dynamic office that works on tasks related to the different housing options for students, and all steps and levels of the student life experience outside of the academics, including student events, visa applications, support in health-related matters, community engagement, and much more! We operate our Student Hub, an event and study space for the students, where they can unwind, seek information, inspiration and community.
What are we looking for?
As a Student Activities Coordinator, you’ll work closely with others in our Student Life team to ensure that we continuously improve the student experience in the Student Hub and the events and services, we provide for our students.
Email, Excel, Teams and the Filemaker Database will be your primary working platforms. You’ll work closely with others in the department on your tasks, in addition to other departments across DIS. We hope our new team member has some prior experience and enjoy working with administration in general and coordinating events.

Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Student Hub: Provide email and in-person service to DIS students, incl. working 16 hours weekly in the Student Hub
- Student Activities: Support on student events and administration related to various student events. Support to student driven clubs. Student communication (email and DIS Navigate app)
- Partnerships/Volunteering: Promoting volunteer opportunities, screening of volunteers and administrative tasks related to volunteering (coordinate sign up, ongoing communication with student volunteers). Planning/Attending Info Meetings for new volunteers
- Assist in planning and execution of student arrival days
Professional & Personal competences
- Fluent English is a requirement (oral & written) and strong Danish language skills are an advantage
- Desire to provide direct assistance and support to students
- Strong administrative & logistical skills
- Fast learner who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Multitasker and detail oriented
- Enjoy working independently and in an agile work environment
