The position

As the new Executive Assistant and Strategic Lead to the CVP, your primary role will be to support and advise the Corporate Vice President (CVP) as the leader of PSU. This includes the following key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the PSU Leadership team, business plan processes, target-setting, monitoring and reporting on progress and results in CVP area and other deliverables and processes
  • Ensuring quality, alignment and timeliness in the deliverables from PSU to the broader organisation
  • Playing a key role in supporting the strategy execution in the functional teams of PSU, including driving cross-functional strategy deliverables and ensuring high professionalism, clear communications and impact in the deliverables from PSU to the rest of the organisation, and Executive Management

The position interacts internally, cross-organizationally and with external contacts.

Qualifications

As an ideal candidate, we expect you to have:

  • Relevant university degree, e.g. in political science, economics or business master
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience working with strategy, execution , and corporate processes at a global, local or affiliate level
  • Strategic mindset and strong numerical skills
  • Ability to create engagement and followership
  • Proven track record in building credibility with external and internal stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong communication skills in both oral and written English

As a person, you have strong interpersonal skills and can engage with stakeholders at all levels. You bring a positive and humorous attitude to work - even when pressure is on - and you can manage multiple work streams in parallel. You enjoy working independently and can combine strong strategic mindset with outstanding stakeholder management.

About the Department

You will report to the CVP of the PSU and be part of the Leadership Team. PSU is a newly established CVP area that is anchored in the Commercial Strategy and Corporate Affairs EVP area. We consist of five teams engaged with key strategic responsibilities: Portfolio Strategy, Portfolio optimisation, Launch Office, Device Strategy & Marketing and Portfolio Insights & Forecasting. Our aim is to maximise the commercial competitiveness of the Novo Nordisk product portfolio across Therapy Areas by crafting clear strategies, solving for complex portfolio dilemmas, steering launch excellence, setting direction for R&D and developing long-term forecasts.
