Every year we service up to 10,000 Danish and international companies, spanning various industries with the potential to reach many more with a greater number of services and competences.

About the role and key responsibilities


As our new secretary, you thrive with a varied day with assorted tasks. You will be the link to our internal and external clients and guests before, during and after their visit, including arranging accommodation and catering for them. This includes a close collaboration with the local canteen.

Some of your key tasks will be, but not limited to:

  • language revision and proof reading of assorted reports - primarily in English, but also in Danish
  • update relevant QA documents in our quality management system
  • close collaboration with the reception personnel, and act as stand-in when needed
  • handling of invoices from the canteen and hotels
  • assorted ad hoc tasks.

The working hours are 30 hours a week. You will become part of a team of 64 people, handling various specialised functions in the two maritime departments, you will refer to the Executive Vice President of the Maritime, Air & Sound Unit, and your place of work will be our Lyngby site.

Our maritime departments offer consultancy and testing in our own innovative facilities in Lyngby, which include a 240-meter towing tank, wind tunnels and ship simulators. We conduct testing and experiments for - and training of - our maritime clients, 80 percent of which are international companies and authorities. We often collaborate on international maritime development projects with representatives of industry and various other institutions.

Your profile


You probably have extensive administrative experience from a technical organisation, effectively servicing international clients. We imagine that you have the relevant educational background, it will be an advantage if you have a relevant (diploma) degree in English.

It is important that you can work independently, and that you have a structured approach to your work tasks. You are very detail oriented, whilst delivering the quality and service our clients and your co-workers expect. You are service minded and aware of what it takes to establish strong relationships based on trust to colleagues as well as clients.

We imagine that you have the following qualifications:

  • experience from a similar position, if you have some knowledge from a maritime setting, it will be an advantage
  • great communication skills in spoken and written Danish and English
  • experienced user in Microsoft Office programs
  • knowledge of working with technical documents and QA
  • a flexible and proactive attitude.
