Develop and lead global Lean management

You lead a team consisting of 5-6 team members covering Global Lean Reporting, Analytics, Maintenance and related. On each production entity there is a local Lean Manager taking care of the daily operational Lean tasks. RHI Magnesita has conducted Lean assessment on 20 plants primarily in Europe and Americas to understand the current situation and develop the frame work for future Lean development / continuous improvement which the company is ready to roll out. Outstanding is the last app. 15 production entities primarily in India and China where the same initial Lean assessment needs to take place. The needed development is very wide Lean / continuous improvement scope within automation / technology 4.0, processes, new modern optimized equipment and machinery, it, systems and related. The expectation is that you and your team together with local Lean Management provides 3% yearly improvement on conversion costs and 2% increased performance rate.

You report to the COO and the role is ideally based in the global RHI Magnesita HQ in Vienna. You should expect travel up to 80% of the time. For the right profile there are great career development opportunities in RHI Magnesita.

Experienced Production and Lean leader

You have several years’ experience as Head of Production, Plant Manager, Cluster Head of Production or related combined with some years’ experience working with Lean / Continuous Improvement in an international or global production environment. This experience is ideally obtained in Chemical / Petrochemical process industry, O&G, heavy industry production, Pulp & Paper or related.

• With your structured, organized and analytical approach you are able to handle the highly complex task of providing major Lean improvements to 35 production plants and a number of mining pits globally
