Our new Head of Data and Analytics has an excellent opportunity of being instrumental in establishing DOVISTA as a truly data-driven organisation, raising the maturity level across the whole organisation.
Do you get a thrill out of leading people in an international team and balancing key stakeholders across the organisation? And are you motivated by influencing data modelling, improving the usage of insightful data and providing a clear, continuous and consistent IT- architecture leadership? Do you thrive working with complex data systems in a fast-growing and exciting company, then this role could be your next career move.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated addition to our team who will be a trusted and empathetic leader, coaching, developing and building a solid team across multiple locations in DOVISTA. Embrace a rare opportunity to join a Group in constant motion and a team that strives to work closely and effectively with stakeholders to meet strategic goals and objectives.
Your responsibilities
This role is within Business Solutions, reporting to the Head of Business Solutions. You will be leading a team of 5 specialists. However, as this is a key focus area for DOVISTA, the size of the team will grow within a short period. Your key stakeholders are the leadership teams in the different brands, Finance, Operations and the Performance Management team. Your key deliverables are to increase the maturity level across the organisation by the widespread adoption of viewing data and analytics as a discipline. You will help to enforce a performance management culture in DOVISTA. To that end, we must build a suitable data model and architecture to secure data across different platforms in the Group. You will help create an agile culture through continuous improvements to connect processes and strategy across our business functions.
You will support the DOVISTA business functions within data and analytics while also getting involved in other IT business solutions landscape projects. This includes supporting visualising reporting and establishing a one-stop-shop experience, delivering business impact stories and ensuring data integrity.
You will take the lead in Information Architecture, Data Sourcing, and Data Science. You will engage with Group Compliance to ensure information governance and data literacy and provide the data for a data-driven strategy.
Other tasks could be:
Your qualifications
You bring a relevant bachelor or master’s degree to the role. You combine your theoretical background with at least five years of relevant work experience from a larger organisation with in-depth expertise and experience with BI/analytics and data architecture. You have a profound understanding of data modelling and architecture and the know-how to define and report leading KPIs to secure value creation with the correct data. You will most likely have experience from a similar position or a Data Management Manager or Head of Data Insights/Data Warehouse role. As this is a people leader role with a new team scattered across different countries, you must have at least three years of people leadership experience. Our ERP landscape is diverse and results from our recent acquisitions, but the core systems are S4/Hana, SAP Datawarehouse Cloud and Power BI.
You have a high proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and other relevant management tools. The role also requires you to be fully proficient in spoken and written English.
On a more personal level, you organise and manage your tasks with considerable initiative, impact and structure. You have high-level communications skills (visual as well) and are organised and disciplined in implementing projects. You are ambitious and empathetic and listen to and understand stakeholders in different countries. You challenge the status quo when you see opportunities for creating better business results. You have good leadership skills and enjoy being around your team and seeing them excel, creating respect among the stakeholders.
Your opportunities
In this role, you will meet highly dedicated colleagues and become part of a dynamic team in which effort and quality matter. You can help set the agenda with your strong results and your positive and proactive approach. Daily life is fast-paced and, at times, quite pressurised; however, communication is relaxed and informal, focusing on learning, improvement, and support.
The DOVISTA Group offers exciting challenges and great opportunities to influence your development with competent and committed colleagues where commitment, thoroughness, and mutual respect are among the core values.
