Head of Accounting

As Head of Accounting at MAN Energy Solutions, you will be responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and travel accounting, and you will ensure compliance by following Group guidelines.

You will have the overall responsibility for management and development of the Accounting team which currently consists of 15 highly skilled and motivated employees. The team is located at two separate locations in Denmark with the majority based in Copenhagen, and three in Frederikshavn. You will ensure optimal coordination of tasks within your own team but also across the organisation – spanning from Sales and across the complete Supply Chain.

With a direct report to CFO, your main priority will be to lead an effective operational flow as well as effective risk management and optimisation of Net Working Capital. There will be a strong focus on handling of payments from international customers as well as cross organisational cooperation.

Your main tasks are daily management of the team including operational tasks but also a more strategic development of the function. You will be a part of the Finance management team within accounting and controlling and contribute to the overall development of the Finance area in MAN Energy Solutions.

You have solid people management skills, can delegate and have some experience with change management. You are an experienced manager with strong accounting and commercial business understanding. You have experience from international businesses with complex value chains, group accounting experience and a “built-in” compass for accounting treatment.

It is important that you can balance the daily operational tasks with a more strategic business focus and are acquainted with the disciplines within a Finance organisation, e.g., IFRS Accounting standards, Tax, VAT etc.

In addition, you have a relevant finance degree, strong IT skills – preferably SAP, TM1 and Power BI and you are fluent in Danish and English, both verbally and in writing.

As a person you are curious, ambitious, and outgoing. You have empathy and an analytical mindset; you succeed in motivating others, and you have a good sense of humour.

Travelling: Approximately 10 days a year
