To further accelerate our mission, we are looking for a Sr Project Manager for the Global Data & Analytics organization at Maersk. In this role, your quest will be to take Maestro to the next level by overseeing and successfully managing its transition to future proof technologies. Maestro is our unified enterprise-wide Data and AIML Platform, and as such a foundational pillar for enabling high quality data, data products and data democratization.

What you will be doing

• As the Senior Project Manager you will essentially own the entire lifecycle of this exciting 2–3 year mission, and will use your structured and risk managing nature for its success.
• Manage and coordinate the Maestro 2.0 roadmap through all phases, from initiation all the way through successful execution
• Lead Maersk and vendor teams to define, agree and manage the scope and success criteria of the project
• Create and optimize the plan for all phases, subject to capacity available
• Establish the needed metrics to track progress and facilitate discussion to optimize for value
• Ensure that the roadmap is successfully executed within schedule, resources, and budget
• Identify, analyze, mitigate, and control project risks, issues, governing assumptions, actions, dependencies and change requests
• Provide effective and regular communication and expectation management within the platform team including reports for the GDA Leadership
• Establish practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships that expand and mature delivery capabilities for the organization

What you bring

• 5-10yrs Technology background (Product/Project/Program Management – Agile, Scrum)
• Strong insights and understanding of technology concepts and processes (cloud, data engineering, data lake and visualization technologies)
• Strong leadership and relationship building skills – ability to lead up, across and down cross-business functions
• Team player mentality who can independently engage with senior colleagues and drive results that contribute to the organizational strategy and meets business requirements
• Strong experience presenting to executive sponsors, and demonstrated communication skills both written and verbal with technical and non-technical staff, across all levels of management
• Experience influencing and gaining buy-in from executive sponsors, team members, stakeholders and peers
• Self-motivation and decisiveness with superior planning, project, and time management skills
• Ability to lead and execute multiple projects simultaneously in an organized fashion without prompt, working efficiently with a global team of colleagues
• Positive and professional approach to management engagement, demonstrated ability to work calmly to tight deadlines, ability to solicit feedback and incorporate it quickly
