As Head of Airfreight at GEODIS, you will have the overall responsibility of the Airfreight product in Denmark. You will set the strategic direction for the product as well as continuously support on tactical level. You will cooperate with your international GEODIS colleagues, as well as having the local management of a dedicated team of talented employees.

With direct report to Chief Operating Officer in Vejle.

Some of your main tasks are:

• Establishing local agreements with carriers to ensure adequate tariffs and space allocation and with that safeguard business requirements
• Defining and managing Airfreight products to ensure that Geodis Freight Forwarding offer remains aligned with market requirements
• Implementing the Global Procurement strategy and translate it into a national strategic plan to ensure the stability, reliability and competitiveness of Geodis’ products and contribute to business continuity and profitability
• Develop local Procurement plan & budget based on regional operation plan and local business plan. Manage alignment between carriers and Geodis Freight Forwarding on regional level
• Develop, implement, optimize policies and procedures regarding procurement on local level. Ensure alignment with regional policies and local legislation. Manage alignment between carriers and GFF core carrier strategy
• Generate information on partnerships and supplier performance from internal data dashboard and Operations/ Airfreight manager and report to regional procurement and local Management
• Drive cost awareness throughout the Danish organization
• Understand and communicate GFF Global Business Strategy to others. Translate the regional business strategy into KPI’s for direct report

Your qualifications are a minimum 3-5 years of experience within overseas freight forwarding and +3 years of experience with strategy, leadership and/or local management.

You have a Bachelors’ Degree in Freight Forwarding or related field og study.

You are a person with great ledership experience, and can easily navigate through a matrix organization with different stakeholders, clients etc., while manage to keep the overview. You possess a natural curiosity towards new ideas and markets, and you are exceptionel at motivating and engaging your employees and colleagues, by a trustworthy and inclusive approach.

Travelling: Some domestic travelling and ocassionally foreign travelling.
