Are you our new Group Financial Controller? Svitzer, one of the brands within Maersk is looking for a Group Financial Controller to join a team of 15+ ambitious finance colleagues in our Head Office in Copenhagen. The global Reporting and Controlling Team monitors and controls finance and financial reporting for 4,400 employees and 440 vessels operating worldwide to service more than 150 ports and terminals across the globe.

Key Responsibilities
As Group Financial Controller, you will be working closely with Finance and other cross-functional colleagues in the Svitzer Head Office, in our regions and local entities as well as in Maersk Group, to deliver on the following tasks and responsibilities:
Controlling and reporting: Participating in the financial controlling of Svitzer Group’s monthly performance including reporting to the Maersk Group, which happens in close collaboration with the colleagues in the Global Service Centre in Pune, India. This also entails preparing consolidated financial analysis and provide ad-hoc insight to other financial presentations for Svitzer senior management in Svitzer and Maersk Group. As you mature in your role you would become a Centre of Excellence for the consolidation system and the Maersk GAAP and potentially provide training/workshops to the Svitzer finance community.
Compliance visits, audits and anti-fraud plans: You will work closely with the Senior Group Financial Controller on planning and conducting the controlling visits to regions/countries in Svitzer. You will also co-create procedures for desktops reviews to enhance the compliance and governance framework. As a natural part of your job, you will be in contact with the external- and internal auditors and will drive the anti-fraud plans for Svitzer in close collaboration with the Head of Finance and Compliance officer, including being responsible for follow-up actions.
Business Partnering: You will work closely with the Global Finance BPO and the Global FPA Manager on various task/projects, such as the implementation of a new BI-tool, follow-up on post-investments cases and be the main lead for the reporting of non-financial information to the stakeholders in Svitzer and Maersk Group. In addition to this you will quickly become a natural focal point for the business by providing proactive support and guidance to the global organisation (commercial/procurement/technical) when new business opportunities mature as part of Svitzer Commercial Excellence program, where you would assist in building a robust governance framework for new initiatives.
Who we are looking for
The ideal candidate holds a relevant Master Degree in Accounting, Auditing or Finance and comes with 3-4 years of professional experience from a similar position preparing consolidated financial reporting and controlling.
You have an analytical and structured approach to your work but also apply logic and pragmatic thinking. You are committed to delivering results and meeting deadlines in a fast-moving corporate environment where decisions are followed by prompt action.
You are devoted to meet expectations from our global organization and you enjoy taking ownership and responsibility, working in teams and delivering a quality product. Your analytical skills enable you to keep focus on, and deal with, complex issues. You are a strong communicator and an acknowledged team player with a high degree of personal integrity.
You have a positive attitude and outspoken collaboration skills. In addition to this you have excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint
As our corporate language is English, you must be fluent in both oral and written English. You must hold a valid Danish residence and work permit.
