About this opportunity:

This role sits in a Platform Portfolio function which has been established recently to address the technology needs of a diversified set of business portfolios: Fleet, Procurement, Strategic Brands, Decarbonisation, Maersk Oil Trading, Safety and Resilience, Legal & Corporate Affairs, Facilities, Corporate Communications and the People function. A number of these business domains have platforms established or being established, while a number do not, but all have a diverse set of technology needs. This role is responsible for working with those multiple business functions which are not currently addressed by a platform approach, to help build the business cases, investment proposals, solution requirements, and then to manage the subsequent solution delivery.

What you’ll be doing:

• Partner with a number of specific business functions to establish their technology needs
• Help business functions articulate a business case for technology investment.
• Determine the required technology solutions to address the needs of specific businesses
• Drive the solution creating and delivery to production.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you can offer:

• 10+ years of experience in building and leading Engineering capabilities in global organizations.
• Proven experience leading IT engagements and projects, from idea to production in partnership with business functions.
• Strong business acumen and insight. Ideally with significant experience in Logistics companies such as Maersk.
• Ability to fully understand business goals and metrics, turn data into insights, and translate requirements into actionable analysis
• Able to present and communicate technical concepts in a clear and concise manner
• Able to work across organizational boundaries and matrixed reporting structures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by excellent written and oral communication
• Exhibit a strong work ethic and technical thought-leadership
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a passion to push the boundaries of innovation.
• Full stack technology depth of experience and complex architectural experience including UI frameworks, Software Languages, SQL and/or no-SQL databases, data capture for usability and instrumentation related to telemetry and monitoring.
• Deep and contemporary knowledge of the various layers of a high-performance technology stack
• Led teams through fast paced development cycles; committed to automation, agile, lean-start-up, continuous delivery approach
