This is a hybrid role where you will be part of the Cyber Security Architect team which oversees the definition and choices of strategic security capabilities and their solutions for the whole of the Cyber Platform. The team ensures that chosen capabilities meet the needs of Business Platforms, achieve the necessary organizational cyber security posture, align with Enterprise Architectural principles, and are optimized for value and efficiency.

The role

This is a global position which can be based in either UK/ Europe OR India (Bangalore/ Pune). Applications will be considered under the country of origin from where you have applied from.

This is a key role in support of Maersk Technology's movement to platform-based development and increased usage of microservices, including (but not limited to) disconnected cloud platform (Azure). Joining Maersk Technology as a Cyber Security Technical Leader will enable you to gain broad business knowledge of the company’s activities globally, in addition to understanding how the complexity of technology supports the digitized transport and logistics business. The role operates using agile methodology delivering timely and effective cyber security of general and bespoke solutions.

As an Architect within the Cyber Security Architecture team, you will be responsible for driving technical security improvement from design through delivery and into operations through good practices and representing the importance and business benefit of Cyber Security – across the 7 Cyber Change Delivery products/Security uplifts.

Other responsibilities include:

• Maintain awareness of the security challenges faced across the numerous platforms, via the Portfolio Security Engineers
• Support definition of security requirements for systems and components and interpreting security standards and principles for delivery teams
• Embedding Secure-by-Design and Secure Development Life Cycle principles with delivery teams
• Review early stage and late stage designs, identifying potential security issues
• Understand and clearly identify Cyber Security risk within an agile development environment, highlighting risks to Cyber Security for inclusion in the Risk Register (Archer) and to inform prioritization of Cyber Security Backlog items.
• Articulate identified risk during development, to development teams and help mitigate – advising on suitable, cost-effective security measures throughout development phases (Agile/DevOps)
• Support Platform Tech leads on their (emerging) Cyber Risk posture as part of Monthly Platform Reviews
• Guiding development initiatives on specific security questions by taking the lead on finding technical Cyber Security solutions
• Support arranging appropriate security assurance activities as required
• Support integration and Cyber Security alignment to other areas as required

What will you bring?

You will be a communicator and a collaborator. With excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills, you will be able to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to explain complex ideas in a concise manner. This role, does not require you to have direct reports, but you will be able to demonstrate strong Leadership Experience, and have a proven delivery track record.

You will have solid technical experience across Cyber Security generally and excellent knowledge of Security Architecture principles, Frameworks and Standards and experience in one or more of the following:

• Experience with application of Cyber Security within DevSecOps, with a good understanding of customer centric design principles and software development.
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of securing Cloud Technologies (Microsoft Azure, AWS and GCP)
• Excellent understanding of IAM, PKI and App Containerization
• Good understanding of SAST/DAST
