The job
You are one of the few, who today can build the foundation for your next career step tomorrow.

Reporting directly to the dwpa Head of Growth and Development in Europe, your main responsibility will be leading all dwpa’s sales activities in the North America (USA and Canada) and contributing to the global development of dwpa in line with our future company growth targets. You will be employed in our subsidiary Danish Wind Power Academy Americas currently based in Denver, Colorado, but the location is flexible.

Based on your personal sales and performance, you will show, that you have, what it takes to become the future Head of Commercials for dwpa North America.

You can perform on all levels. You know how to sell to both wind farm team leaders as well as CEOs of large companies in the wind industry.

You will have a wide range of key accountabilities:

  • Responsible for your personal sales budget and key accounts. Show us today, that you are able to take the lead tomorrow.
  • Responsibility for breaking down the company strategy into your personal operational sales plan for the US and Canada.
  • Developing and implementing customer life cycle strategies to ensure positive long term customer relationships.
  • Conducting market/customer research and presenting future sales opportunities and new product development ideas to the dwpa management team.
  • Leading all business development activities in North America (including conference attendance and participation in local working groups as required).
  • Direct contribution to the ongoing development of the global marketing strategy (with a focus on specific North American elements).
  • When the time comes, building and developing the sales organization in North America


  • Qualifications/Experience:
    You get things done. You are empathic and self-driven, with a big engagement and strong power. People feel you and they follow you, and it is natural for you to do, what it takes to reach the goals.

    You have operated at a senior level within an operational environment within the wind industry or wider renewables sector or alternatively you will have extensive sales experience from an alternative (fast growing and rapidly changing) technical sector.

    Requirements:

  • Direct experience of working in a customer focused environment with strong experience across all stages of the customer life-cycle preferable with a proven track record of your sales capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel to customer locations across the US and Canada as required, as well as international travel to Europe and other global locations to support global growth & development activities and dwpa internal alignment.
  • Assisting in the development of new processes and ways of working, as well as the improving existing processes, as part of a continuous improvement culture.
  • It will be a key advantage if you have a strong reputation within the US renewable (wind sector) with extensive contacts across all organizational levels.
