The Logistics & Services (L&S) organization is at the forefront of developing cutting edge technologies to improve the customer’s experience with personalized and automated end-to-end digital journeys, leading the enterprise into the next chapter of becoming a true integrator of E2E logistics through designing and launching products and services (solutions) with the customer at the center. The new L&S organization will have full accountability for the global L&S P&L and will partner very closely with the Commercial and Delivery organizations to meet our financial and operational goals through a data-driven and bottoms-up approach, powered by scalable Digital Infrastructure and APIs.

The incumbent has the overall responsibility for bringing the vision to life Network Design capabilities for L&S; define and design the global “network of networks” and to partner with Ocean network to connect all networks. Additionally, setting the strategy, hiring and developing the best Product Managers in the industry and overseeing the development of multiple innovative software products to create an industry-leading customer experience that will delight our customers around the world.

Responsibilities

• Define the long-term strategy of the Network Design capabilities and translate to a data driven operational plan.
• Define the customer centric KPIs and build a closed loop monitoring & reporting mechanism.
• Build partnerships with technology leaders and with a large-scale global technology organization to develop cutting edge software solutions, enhancing the customer experience, launch market-leading products and solutions to create sustainable competitive advantage.
• Hiring and mentoring of high-caliber Product talent, managing a globally diverse organization.
• Be the customer’s ambassador in various Maersk Senior Executive forums.
• Lead innovation and thought leadership in our journey to digitize the Logistics and Services industry.

What you bring

• Extremely strong experience and a proven track record of building enterprise, global Products in digitally native ecosystems.
• Experience identifying and hiring world-class product and tech talent.
• Expertise in pioneering and executing a customer-centric digital strategy in Logistics / Supply Chain, specifically with Network Design capabilities.
• Strong CX / UX/ journey optimization capabilities, and AIML capabilities.
• Strong tech insights and understanding (engineering excellence, operational excellence principles, etc.).
• Experience managing and influencing a diverse, global team of product managers, UX and design, content, marketing and ecommerce, in a matrixed environment.
• Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills, ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and develop business cases.
• Proven track record in designing global networks and a ‘network of networks’ in an agile, and data-driven way.
• Educational background and experience in Engineering, Data Engineering and Big Data.
• Comfortable with international travel up to 30-40% p.a.
