In this role, you will be accountable for transportation network operations and strategy. This is done by identifying and driving key opportunities for cost leadership at needed quality levels across productivity, unit cost and network optimization. The work is focused on systemic changes for large scale opportunities and is done in collaboration with customer service, procurement, frontline teams and other products as needed to enable the integrator vision.

Key Responsibilities

Contribution to Strategy and Business Planning

• Design transportation network strategy and guardrails for the Maersk inland/transportation network across modalities
  
  
• Capture global demand as input to S&OP
  
  
• Set direction on required service levels to our customers striking right quality, at the right speed and at the right cost
  
  
• Challenge, optimize and validate cost budget
  
  
• Define areas for improvement of cost to serve an increased quality at European level competitively
  
  

Operational Excellence

• Collaborate with Service Design (Growth and Business Product Owner team) to ensure Procurement and Execution SLAs support the business plan
  
  
• Set direction and SLAs for procurement
  
  
• Set direction and SLAs for Customer Experience (CSX)
  
  
• Monitor delivery of SLAs and addresses short comings proactively
  
  
• Define, monitor, and drive quality standards
  
  
• Define, monitor, and drive service availability standards
  
  
• Identify and scale best practice in close cooperation with stakeholders
  
  
• Create a performance driven culture that enhances and promotes continuous improvement
  
  

Product Development

• Works closely with key stakeholders on product development to ensure need quality and efficiency levels
  
  

What we are looking for

• Strong experience in Transportation Network Operations and Strategy within European or global scale.
  
  
• Operational excellence mindset and strong understanding of transportation network design principles
  
  
• Customer centricity with end-to-end solution mindset
  
  
• Ability to drive change management in operations, sales and IT
  
  
• Strong financial acumen, anticipates future product performance delivery and factors it into strategy decisions
  
  
• Strong communication skills to support new product ideas to senior and executive leadership
  
  
• Extreme focus on driving continuous improvements post launch
  
  
• Ability to balance short- and long -term business objectives
