My name is Mattias Hellstrom, regional CCO for Svitzer Europe, and I am looking for a super star to join our commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join Svitzer, in a newly established role as Pricing & Performance Manager. In this role you will be part of our journey to instil customer centricity throughout the organization and deepening the usage of data in commercial. You will join a small high performing team, including four regional commercial managers, a regional BDV manager and presently two student assistants. You will mainly be responsible for driving commercial performance, revenue forecasting, reporting, and pricing. Our ambition is to become better at utilizing data and analytics, and you will be heading this initiative. The student assistants will be reporting to the role.

This role is based in Copenhagen in the Svitzer Europe office in Nordhavn. You will become part of the Regional Commercial Team tasked with delivering on the overall commercial strategy of the Svitzer Group, with a focus on the European market. You will report directly to me and work closely together with the colleagues in the Regional and Global Commercial Community, as well as liaise with Cluster Managers, Port Managers, Operations and Finance Departments.
Key responsibilities
As our new Pricing & Performance Manager for Europe, you will play an important role in developing the commercial function in the region. You will be expected to deliver on the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Take a leading role driving commercial performance through our ProDrive tools, ProActivity and Provisibility.
- Develop data analytics and utilize same to facilitate data driven pricing and target setting.
- Take lead responsibility for pricing of Harbour Towage contracts and spot business for the region.
- To plan and execute on commercial reporting and top-line forecasting
- To support driving and strengthening of the Commercial function through various projects.
- To support commercial managers and port managers with data driven commercial insights
Who we are looking for
You are a an analytical, result-oriented self-starter, with great initiative and persuasive skills, who displays strong drive to develop the commercial function by being customer centric and data driven. You get things done both through personal contributions as well as through your team. But most importantly, you get things done. You understand the value of a structured approach, working with data and can communicate that effectively to the commercial team.
We expect that you have the following experience and competencies:
- Bachelor-level education required (Business Administration, Finance, or other relevant area), combined with relevant professional experience.
- Solid experience in working with data, analytics, reporting, and forecasting is a must.
- Experience in B2B Sales and pricing is a plus,
- Industry-related experience within towage and or marine services is desirable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team-player with a highly motivated attitude to improve our business.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- You feel at ease navigating in a multicultural environment, and deal with people in a broad range of professional levels and backgrounds.
- Fluency in verbal and written English.
- Ability to travel when required, mainly within Europe.
- You must hold a valid Danish residence and work permit.
