As the Maritime Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our finished products from the Facilities or Port of Origin to the Destination Port, contributing to the achievement of operational excellence.
Mission: As a Maritime Project Manager in Onshore, your mission will be to manage the Maritime Portion of all Logistics Projects onshore. You will be responsible for devising and implementing strategies to deliver client's products according to cost, time, quality-effective, and program-aligned solutions. Your aim will be to achieve optimal project outcomes and maintain the highest standards of operational efficiency.

Mission: As a Maritime Project Manager in Onshore, your mission will be to manage the Maritime Portion of all Logistics Projects onshore. You will be responsible for devising and implementing strategies to deliver client's products according to cost, time, quality-effective, and program-aligned solutions. Your aim will be to achieve optimal project outcomes and maintain the highest standards of operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities: As the Maritime Project Manager, you will have a wide range of responsibilities, including:
- Gathering project requirements presented in the Project KOM (Kick-off Meeting).
- Defining the maritime portion strategy of each project based on requirements provided by the regional project owners.
- Preparing the RFQ (Request for Quotation) alongside the Project timeline and Packing list, validating them with the regions, and forwarding them to Procurement Corporate.
- Collaborating with Procurement Corporate to validate offers from a technical perspective.
- Participating in the Contracting Committee to determine the awarded suppliers.
- Creating comprehensive Transportation plans for the components to be shipped.
- Managing all physical movements of stocks within our scope using SAP.
- Preparing drafts of shipping documents in accordance with Project requirements and providing support to the Export Region and ECC (Export Control Center) in customs clearance at origin and destination.
- Working closely with Logistics Quality and H&S (Health & Safety) teams to ensure adherence to quality and safety company procedures during our scope activities.
- Monitoring and controlling shipments, promptly resolving any contingencies to ensure timelines are met.
- Monitoring and controlling costs within our scope to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Negotiating with ship owners on day-to-day issues, claims, and technical aspects of the shipments.
Academic Background: To qualify for this position, you should possess the following academic background:
- Tertiary level education or equivalent, preferably in International Trade or Organization.
- Postgraduate Training in Logistics, Shipping, or Maritime Business.
Professional Experience: To excel in this role, you will need:
- Preferably at least 3 years of experience in the transportation industry, shipping, and maritime business.
Skills: The successful candidate will have the following skills:
- Excellent communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in management principles and practices, with strong organizing and planning skills.
- Good knowledge of SAP System and BPM (Business Process Management).
Other Attributes: We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:
- An excellent standard of written and spoken English.
- High organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively under pressure.
- A positive attitude, diligence, and patience.
- High personal drive, perseverance, and logical thinking.
- Availability for travel, as occasional meetings outside the normal working place may be required.
