The job
As Head of Communication, you will play a critical part in taking Terma’s external communication to the next level. With a reference to the VP of Public Affairs and Communications and a close and frequent contact to the executive management you will be in a position to make a real impact in creating Terma’s public image. You will have a key role in the organization and therefore you will be collaborating with many different internal stakeholders from both senior managers, project managers to engineers as well as managing the global press.
You will be part of a department covering both Internal Communications External Communication and Public Affairs.. We are in the midst of making a transition towards a global scope and more professional communication and we welcome your new ideas and ways of working. There will be room for you to build and shape the position in collaboration with the team and the organization.
Your tasks
You will proactively manage Terma’s external relations with media and other stakeholders. Furthermore, you will be handling issue management and crisis communication and provide communication support and advisory for our Group and Business Area Management. In close collaboration with colleagues, you will contribute and execute our overall brand and communication strategy.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
Professional qualifications
We expect you to have an educational background as a journalist or master’s in communication and at least 5-8 years of experience working with external communication and public relations. As a person you are outgoing and proactive, and we expect you to be adaptable as the daily agenda can rapidly change.

- Global media and press management – with key focus on Denmark and US
- Direct consulting for Executive Management on media relations, interviews and messaging and overall communications
- Proactive development and execution of strategic communication plans
- Execute communication campaigns on our digital platforms to support branding, commercial projects, product launches, events, etc.
- Media monitoring
- Communication support to shared group functions
- Planning and executing annual report
Professional qualifications

- In-depth understanding of and experience with media relations
