Head of Accounting Denmark

The Accounting team in Denmark consists of 18 colleagues based in our headquarter in Søborg, Copenhagen. The team is part of a global Accounting team with colleagues based in Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Italy, and Brazil.
You will be part of a larger Finance department with in total 85 colleagues across various teams, where you will work particularly close with Financial Controlling and Business Finance.
As our new Head of Accounting Denmark, you will manage a team of very experienced and skilled Accountants based in our HQ, and your overall responsibility will be to ensure that the day-to-day bookkeeping runs smoothly. You will drive internal optimization projects and automation of processes and procedures in a dynamic and complex organization in rapid growth. Furthermore, you will support your team members in their personal and professional development.
The position entails working with stakeholders across the organization and at all levels as well as coordinate with external stakeholders.

You are a strong relationship-builder with a solid financial toolbox, in particular within Accounting. You are used to being a people manager and supporting team members in their work. Moreover, we would like you to have the following competencies:

Your new team

A typical day
- You support, lead, and develop your team members.
- You take part in the digitalization process including implementing a new ERP system.
- You oversee and ensure quality in the accounting processes from A-Z.
- You have the overall responsibility of monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- You contribute to the quarterly consolidation and reporting process.
- You ensure VAT and payroll tax compliance in collaboration with Salary, HR, and Tax.
- You participate in developing improved workstreams.
To thrive in the role, we imagine that
You are a strong relationship-builder with a solid financial toolbox, in particular within Accounting. You are used to being a people manager and supporting team members in their work. Moreover, we would like you to have the following competencies:
- You have at least 5 years of experience from a people manager in a Finance department.
- You hold a degree in Accounting, Auditing or similar, e.g. Graduate Diploma (HD).
- You have experience with Danish GAAP, VAT, and Tax.
- You have solid communication skills and are fully proficient in Danish and English.
- You have good digital skills and experience working with Excel, ERP systems, and consolidation systems. If you have knowledge of Navision, Business Central, and Hyperion it is an advantage.
