This is a fantastic opportunity to combine your fire safety skills, knowledge, and experience at Maersk Training – a company under the A.P. Møller-Maersk Group. As an instructor, you will be an essential member of our instructor team, which includes both full-time and part-time instructors from various industries, creating a diverse workplace. At Maersk Training, after thorough training and certification, you will primarily be responsible for our many fire safety courses, including basic fire courses and more advanced fire courses, including gas and methanol fire courses, at our location in Esbjerg. Then, in close collaboration with the area managers and Team Lead, you will have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with new industries such as wind, oil, gas, maritime, etc., where Maersk Training offers a wide range of courses with the possibility to influence your future development as an instructor and area manager.

Key responsibilities


You must be able to set high personal and professional standards and prioritize customer service very highly. In addition to delivering courses, the job also requires you to develop existing as well as new courses while being willing to develop personally in the role of an instructor. Additionally, you must:

  • Deliver theoretical and practical training on the maritime STCW (maritime), OPITO (oil and gas), and GWO (wind) courses with a focus on high quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver training as part of the instructor team. This includes preparation of equipment and other course-specific activities depending on the course type.
  • Be responsible for daily safety during the respective courses, for both participants and instructors.
  • Maintain, develop, and improve teaching materials and methods according to legal and organizational requirements.
  • Set high personal and professional standards.
  • Show due diligence regarding courses, participants, and colleagues.
  • Ensure a better learning experience.

We are looking for


Your Profile:

  • Live in Esbjerg or surrounding areas (preferred).
  • Trained/certified team leader is a requirement.
  • Engaged person – preferably with smoke diver instructor experience.
  • High personal and professional standards.
  • Strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Curious and not afraid of challenges and learning about new areas/industries.
  • Good IT skills and technical knowledge.
  • Team player.
  • Comfortable standing in front of others and leading the training.
  • Experience in teaching, but this is not a requirement.
  • Prepared for potential travel days.
  • Fluent in both Danish and English, both spoken and written.
  • Fluent in German, but this is not a requirement.
