About the role

We are looking for site HSE manager to join our Site HSE & Construction Management team. The team consists of 35 dedicated colleagues who work daily on some of the biggest engineering projects within the pharma industry to heighten the HSE Standards including HSE, Permit to Work and Compliance.

An HSE-professional on a building site is responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards, and providing training and guidance to workers on safe practices and emergency procedures. They also investigate accidents and incidents to prevent future occurrences and promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.

As a Site HSE Manager, your main responsibility is to develop and drive the HSE strategy acting as a trusted advisor to Project managers and -teams ensuring that projects are following NN/[xxxxx] HSE standards and Site Specific Safety Plan (SSSP). Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring a continuous development of the site HSE team with focus on safety behavior and awareness to build on the safety culture.

As site HSE manager, you’ll be:

• Participating in developing HSE strategy in site HSE function e.g. incident investigations and Risk Assessments/Method Statements – RAMS from contractors
• Ensuring programs for Safety Awareness/Behavior to drive the [xxxxx] safety culture from Top Management to workers
• Developing the site HSE teams in both standards and process, competence, and skills
• People manager for the site HSE advisor teams
• Working with a team of 35 dedicated site HSE, Compliance and Permit to Work perso[xxxxx]l based between our offices in Kalundborg and our management in Virum

The miles you’ve walked
In all positions there are some things that are needed, and others a bonus. We believe these qualifications are needed for you to do well in this role:

• Higher formal education in leadership e.g., Diploma in Leadership, Bachelor/Master in leadership or Internal company leadership course.
• Engineer, technician, bachelor or similar degree or master in Construction and/or HSE (E.G. Nebosh, IOSH, FASI or similar)
• Formal education within incident investigation (e.g., TapRoot, TopSet e.c.)
• Formal education with safety behavior and/or safety awareness

If you do not check all the boxes, you are welcome to offer alternative experience that you think would be valuable in this role.

It would be an advantage if you have completed an AMK-B/P 5 days course and are certified in ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001 but it is not considered a requirement.
