Head of Marketing in a successful scale-up.

ABOUT THE JOB

This is the dream job for the result-driven, digital savvy and entrepreneurial digital marketing leader.

Our client is a provider of a highly successful online marketplace with reach in a significant number of European countries. It is a scale up company with headquarters in Copenhagen and remote teams sitting across Europe.

You will play a central role in the company by building up and driving a high-performance marketing team located in the south of Spain on the Costa del Sol. You, too, will be located on Costa del Sol. That could be from a relocation from one of the Scandinavian countries or you may already be located in the area.

You have the full responsibility of the marketing funnel as well as a building the team in Spain. The team should consist of 5 FTE and comprise competencies from SEO, PPC, content, marketing automation and CRO.

It is important that you have hands on capabilities in the required digital marketing disciplines and enjoy getting involved in the operational tasks. Equally important is your leadership skills and ability to drive and motivate a marketing team as well as your proven experiences regarding building up frameworks, processes, KPI structures, and strategies for a high-powered marketing approach.

THE PRIMARY TASKS ARE:

· Drive customer acquisition and develop an efficient onboarding process.

· Develop optimized retention strategies.

· Secure an efficient SEO and performance marketing across multiple channels.

· Develop and implement effective newsletter strategies.

· Lead, manage, develop, and assure quality in deliverables. That being for example B2B lead generation though Facebook and LinkedIn as well as identify and develop affiliate partnerships.

· Reporting, KPI management, and build up of dashboards in relevant tools.

· Team development through development and performance enhancing initiatives and conversations.

You are one of the best digital marketers around.

You are passionate about what you do, and you have a great personal drive and motivation to succeed!

This is possibly not the first time you face a challenge like this. And you may even have a playbook from previous jobs in your rucksack that just needs to be slightly dusted off. You have significant (10 years plus) experience in performance management and driving a potent marketing muscle to new heights.

You are motivated by a job that combines the operational with the strategic. You are a hands-on inspirational leader in your team, that leads by example. You may have experience from start or scale up or even your own company, but you are under all circumstances an entrepreneur.

You are persistent and certainly not a quitter, so when things are tough, you are the type that roles up the sleeves and starts crunching.

OPTIMAL CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are looking for individuals with power and drive, who can be the engine that can guarantee success on the European market.

Also, we are looking for unique individuals with a strong digital marketing and leadership toolbox.

The profile is therefore characterized by:

· A modern leadership style linked to team members’ needs. A leadership style that is transparent and involving.

· A leader by example. One who creates a motivating environment, sets direction and who takes responsibility for building a high-performance culture.

· An easy-going personality. Sociable and excellent stakeholder management skills.

· Organized with a great planning toolbox.

· Excellent marketing toolbox with experience from using G4A, Active Campaign, Klaviyo, Channable, Ahrefs, Hubsport/Salesforce.

· Dynamic, entrepreneurial, pro-active, result-driven and dedicated towards success and results.

· Analytical sound and data driven ROI focus with underlying media channel management. Can efficiently allocate and manage marketing budget to maximize ROI. Hereby ensuring marketing strategies are aligned with business objectives and KPIs.

· Norwegian, Danish or Swedish speaker at a native level with very good English speaking and writing skills.
