Key Responsibilities

As a Crew Manager based in Copenhagen, you will report directly to the Head of Crewing in Singapore. Your responsibilities will include:

• People Leadership: Inspire and develop your team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  
  
• Operational Excellence: Ensure vessels are manned in compliance with STCW, Flag State requirements, and company standards at all times.
  
  
• Talent Development: Support seafarers in their career progression through structured development programs and effective succession planning.
  
  
• Engagement & Retention: Build and maintain strong relationships with our seafaring colleagues, implementing initiatives to enhance their experiences and commitment to Maersk.
  
  
• New Building Program: Lead the selection and deployment of crew for new vessels, ensuring smooth transitions and operational readiness.
  
  
• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with the global Crewing team to ensure alignment with broader business objectives and strategic initiatives.
  
  
• Process Improvement: Regularly assess and refine crew operations processes to ensure compliance with service level agreements and key performance indicators.
  
  

Who We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate has a robust background in crewing or maritime operations, along with a proven track record in leadership. Previous experience as a Senior Officer at sea is advantageous.

Key Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability as an empathetic, engaging people leader committed to coaching and team development.
  
  
• Solid background in the international maritime industry.
  
  
• Proactive, positive attitude with strong interpersonal skills, fostering open and constructive cooperation.
  
  
• Exceptional organizational skills with a calm approach to planning and execution.
  
  
• Fluency in English with excellent communication skills, particularly in an international setting.
