At Johnson Controls, we are looking for a new EHS Manager to join our site in Aarhus. This is an exciting opportunity for you to enter an organization where you will be at the forefront, ensuring we continuously meet and improve our standards within environment, health and safety.
Johnson Controls is a global organization specialized in delivering innovative building technologies and solutions. On our Aarhus site, we design and develop HVAC/R applications to a worldwide customer base within industrial, marine and offshore segments.
What you will do
As EHS Manager, you will become part of the organization’s local and global EHS team, and you will gain the opportunity to influence the development and implementation of our safety standards and processes. You will manage the local EHS team, and together, you will support our various business lines on site, in creating a safe work environment in alignment with legislation and internal Johnson Controls standards.

Who we are looking for
We imagine that you possess solid experience within EHS from a similar role or as an EHS specialist. Ideally, you have a technical educational background. You hold an education/certification as Lead Auditor and you are knowledgeable within ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. Finally, you have a flair for IT and you communicate fluently in English, written and verbal.
As a person, you are driven by the chance to influence and implement new procedures in an organization. You are proactive, structured and independent, and you thrive with communicating EHS to stakeholders at different levels. You know the importance of deadlines, and most importantly, you possess a positive and friendly attitude.

How you will do it
- Facilitate internal audits on ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
- Offer support in connection with regulatory control, relevant permits and licenses, as well as secure continuous updates in regards to relevant legal standards.
- Maintain and develop the organization’s internal EHS management system to secure the advancement of a positive, safe and healthy work environment.
- Coach employees within safety, health and environment.
- Prepare monthly EHS reports and produce trend analyses based on EHS data.
- Examine incidents at the factory, and secure the correct registration as well as determine cause and safety measures.
- Communicate and maintain stakeholder relations with e.g. external advisors, suppliers, managers and employees.
- Manage our facilities services.
