Plant & Hybrid Solutions Plant Hybrid Modelling & Analytics Plant & Hybrid Analytics
Plant Hybrid Modelling & Analytics, part of Vestas Power Solutions, is responsible for the products and services related to Vestas Data Offerings. We have a strong and diverse team that consists of everything from Meteorologists and CFD Specialists to BI developers, Data engineers, Data Analysts and Data Scientists. This ranges across real time data collection from thousands of power plants, data storage and data analytics on a combined Data warehouse and High-Performance Computing setup supporting multiple data applications for our customers. The goal is to bring down the cost of energy by leveraging the vast amount of data that Vestas collects and stores from power plants around the globe.
Responsibilities
As Specialist in Plant & Hybrid Analytics, your primary areas of responsibility are to:
Qualifications
To fulfil the position, you have a couple of years of experience with data engineering. This is preferably combined with a relevant education (minimum at bachelor level) for example in software engineering, computer science or similar. We envision that you have experience or are familiar with the following:

Responsibilities
As Specialist in Plant & Hybrid Analytics, your primary areas of responsibility are to:
- Design and execute implementation of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) data pipelines
- Contribute to overall Data architecture and Roadmap
- Design, resource estimate and execute feasibility studies of new technology
- Drive development of best practices within data engineering
- Partner with data science development teams to ensure best practice, performance and reliability is in place
Qualifications
To fulfil the position, you have a couple of years of experience with data engineering. This is preferably combined with a relevant education (minimum at bachelor level) for example in software engineering, computer science or similar. We envision that you have experience or are familiar with the following:
- Data warehouse design and proficiency with ETL tools
- MS SQL, SSIS, optional SSAS (MDX/DAX)
- Spark & Hadoop and Scala, Python, C#, Java
- Experience with Cloud technologies, MS Azure, Kafka
- GIT and JIRA or similar tools
- DevOps process and associated tools, e.g. Octopus and Ansible is an advantage
- Experience with signal processing and/or consultancy experience is an advantage
