In Vestas Power Solutions, you will be part of the Tower Engineering organisation with about 70 professional engineers, specialists and project managers. The projects include new technology development of complete tower solutions and minor components upgrades over to a portfolio of towers on new product releases.

As Project Manager in Tower Engineering, you will engage with teams across Vestas Power Solutions, Global procurement, NPI and Manufacturing, Global Transport, Global Construction and service with sites in multiple countries.

Responsibilities
You will be heading one to four projects at a time depending on the size and complexity. You will in close cooperation with the technical lead manage your projects end to end, so you will be a team who represents the project from the requirement specification is initiated and until the handover. The projects have a significant business impact and you will balance a large project budget, and you must be proficient in risk management to ensure business critical decisions are fact based.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Organise, budget, plan and execute large projects end-to-end
  • Setup an effective organisation of your projects including a strong governance
  • Interface and communicate with a large range of stakeholders in the entire value chain
  • Ensure delivery within time, quality and cost targets
  • Assist the Director of the area in keeping track of the entire portfolio of projects in the Tower area, up to 30 concurrent projects
  • Contribute to development of project execution maturity using various tools, such as SAP PPM, MSP, Jira amongst others

Qualifications
You aspire to become a successful project manager of complex cross-functional innovation or Development projects and likely, you have the following qualifications:

  • An Engineering degree ex. Mechanical, Marine or other relevant technical background
  • At least 5-10 years of experience working in the domain of product development and/or manufacturing in series production
  • Documented experience of working with integrated projects in a global, matrix organisation with multi-disciplinary teams
  • At least 5 years documented Project Management experience, for example with Gate Model project delivery
  • Experience with stakeholder management and risk management at a highly professional level
  • Solid business understanding and knowledge of how critical project decisions impact business goals
  • Experience in large mechanical/civil structures is beneficial

  • Ideally have achieved recognised Project Management accreditation (preferably Prince2, PMI or IPMA)

Additional information
Your base will be in Aarhus N, Denmark, but you are expected to travel to Vestas sites internationally when needed. The position requires approximate 10-15 days of annual travel activity.
