Sales SBU NCE Site Management Region
The Construction Department is in charge of all wind farm projects from start to completion. The team takes responsibility for a wind farm once a contract has been signed - and remains responsible until the final tests are completed. Working closely with the logistics, procurement and finance departments, the team has to keep the project on budget and on schedule and ensures our rigorous safety and quality standards are met.
As the Construction Site Manager your main responsibility will be the organisation of construction sites with the focus on safety, budget and time. With responsibilities varying depending on project types, as a Site Manager your responsibility is to ensure that relevant tasks onsite are completed, and delegate the execution of these tasks accordingly. You will be working closely with the project manager in the start up of the project, in order to ensure the necessary pre-project planning has taken place.

Additional Information
Primary work location: Videbæk, Denmark
This position requires to travel regularly, working rotationally for two weeks at a time in Norway, Finland and Sweden. You will work Monday – Saturday whilst away, however could see longer periods the site when preparing for projects.

You will be working closely with the project manager in the start up of the project, in order to ensure the necessary pre-project planning has taken place.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all construction activities to monitor compliance with quality and safety regulations – ensuring compliance with legal requirements, construction, safety codes, and other regulations.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
- Meet contractual conditions of performance by reviewing the work progress on a daily basis
- Prepare internal and external reports to communicate progress and ensure all project documentation is completed during the project
- Evaluate, handle and mitigate risks, planning ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging issues
- Ensure focus is kept by the site team on cost optimization, updating time schedules and following up on delivery schedules to ensure a clear overview of the cost implications
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques
Qualifications
- Several years of work experience, ideally within the wind industry, but as a minimum we are looking for some related large-scale onshore construction project background
- Must have proven experience of supervision/leadership
- Must have a Technical diploma, degree or relevant qualification related to engineering, construction or similar
- Proven working experience in construction management and advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
- Understanding of all facets of the construction process
- Should have Fluent English skills, additional language skills are of benefit

- Should have proven Leadership and resources management skills – you will be controlling the daily management and progressing of site activities, in collaboration with internal and external resources.
