About the department

As our new Project Manager, you will be part of the Projects & Controls department comprised of 8 ambitious and experienced employees. The department is a part of Corporate Accounting, a central finance unit at Novo Nordisk. Our department’s primary responsibility is to drive optimisation, simplification and standardisation initiatives across the global finance organisation while ensuring progress on the financial digital agenda and that Novo Nordisk has established robust financial processes and internal controls. Our work is carried out in close cooperation with Line of Business and Global IT.

The position

As a Project Manager, your primary task will be to optimise and simplify the current financial processes (e.g. SAP processes) by building technical solutions upon existing platforms in collaboration with GSC (Novo Nordisk Global Service Centre) and our affiliates. Also, your responsibility will be to perform ongoing assessments of our current processes, enabling you to streamline and drive digital transformation and automation throughout our global organisation. Together with Line of Business, you continuously seek solutions to optimise and standardise our global financial process environment for example by optimising our current SAP FI platform, our cloud solutions or optimising our closing cockpit processes. You will be a central link between finance and Global IT.

In this role, you will gain real impact on a great part of the organisation, as processes are global and affect affiliates as well as HQ. You will use your project manager mind-set to drive and engage in specific cross-functional projects to ensure that we continue to be a best-in-class function. You will also gain expert knowledge within SAP Finance processes and be a part of designing innovative solutions that are value adding to our business. You will obtain insight into the many business areas and principles of the Novo Nordisk group and be able to develop a large network across the global organisation.

Qualifications

You are relatively new within project management, with a maximum experience of 5 years. You are maybe even fresh out of studies, with experience from student jobs. You hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in IT or Finance (for example cand.merc.(it.), ITKO, cand.merc.aud etc.). The education does not need to be one of the mentioned – the most important thing is that it taps into both IT and finance. You should have a great interest in working with financial processes and are maybe even knowledgeable of SAP and project management in an international company, while using your desire to seek new and improved ways of working.

You are a high performer and an internationally oriented person, who can independently perform assessment of processes, identify, monitor and ensure project milestones are met and make decisions when required. You are proactive and have an engaging personality, want to work with a high degree of responsibility and have the ability to stay focused when working under pressure. You have strong communication skills and value interaction with management and other stakeholders within the organisation.

You are fluent in both written and spoken English on a professional level, willing to travel when the job requires and ready to invest both time and effort in your personal and professional development.
