We are looking for skilled IT Project Managers at different levels to enable the digital transformation of Novo Nordisk. You will be part of developing the foundational IT capabilities required for Novo Nordisk to succeed with an ambitious transformation of our entire business process landscape.
Global IT is launching a new initiative to create the necessary core IT capabilities within infrastructure, integrations, data management, and platforms that will enable the digitalisation and future growth of our business. Throughout 2020 we will be recruiting different profiles for this initiative. This is our first wave of hiring so the people we bring on board now will have a unique chance to put their footprint on the programme.
By joining Global IT, you will become part of a strong global community of more than 1200 skilled IT professionals, who are responsible for IT systems, services, and projects in Novo Nordisk, working in a truly global organisation based on agile principles.
The department
The position is based in Global IT Operations - an area with 200+ employees distributed across more than 25 countries, managing our infrastructure operations and digital workplace services. The Strategy and Transformation department is a team of highly skilled and dedicated employees responsible for defining the global infrastructure strategy and implementing related projects and activities. We have a strong focus on collaboration, we are curious, and we are embracing new ideas on how to successfully deliver projects. We are on a journey applying agile ways of working in our organisation, and our IT projects will be delivered according to the SAFE framework with agile teams running sprints/iterations.
The position
As an IT project manager, you will become responsible for some of our large global projects, within the Foundational IT initiative and beyond. You will be working both independently and in close collaboration with our management teams and global stakeholders.
Depending on your specific qualifications and domain area experience you will be responsible for projects related to cloud infrastructure, cloud data centres, network implementations or implementation of our digital workplace solutions.
Your projects will be strategically important to the company and will have top priority and support from senior management. This calls for great stakeholder management at all organisational levels in the company. You will have the opportunity to follow your projects from early idea until the business benefits have been realised and you will have project management responsibility for managing people and budgets according to your level of experience and job position.
The position is in Bagsværd, Denmark; however, your daily work place can take you almost anywhere in the world according to the project you are working on.
Your qualifications
You have a bachelor (B.Sc.) or master’s degree (M.Sc.) in business administration, engineering, computer science, or other relevant fields.
We are looking for different levels of project managers, either with a minimum of 2-5 years of documented project management experience and some domain knowledge, or senior project managers with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience and solid domain knowledge.
Ideally, you have a strong understanding of the infrastructure and operations domain area and have potentially worked on projects within the pharma industry.
You are motivated by challenging assignments, you absorb new knowledge quickly, and you are always open for developing new competencies.
Independence, cross-cultural understanding, and fluency in written and spoken English are essential. You preferably have experience from working within an Agile/SAFe framework.
