About the department

We are on an exciting journey towards establishing our HR Regional Service Centre for Europe. The ambition for the Regional Service Centre in Warsaw is to provide professional HR operational service and guidance to the approx. 4.000 employees working in Novo Nordisk in different countries in Europe. We intend to transform the way we provide HR operational service in Novo Nordisk and we aim for being the best valued partner for our customers.

The Regional Service Centre will co-locate with the Business Area office for Europe East and the Polish affiliate. With annual budgeted sales level of over 700 million DKK and with 130 employees in the Polish affiliate the company ambition is to continuously improve quality of patients’ life and bring innovation into the markets.

The position

The Transition and Project Manager will play an important role in successfully building the HR Regional Service Centre for Europe and you will report into the Vice President for regional Service Centre who is based in Denmark. The Transition and Project Manager will be key in developing and implementing the plans to ensure progress on the establishment of the service centre in Warsaw and hence the ability to deliver proof of concept for the new HR operating model.

Essential responsibilities include:

  • Develop, execute and monitor progress of the overall project and transition plan for a successful build of the service centre in Warsaw i.e. ensuring time, quality, cost and impact objectives are accomplished
  • Develop and keep track on the plan for standardising, optimising and transitioning tasks to the service centre
  • Development of work instructions and handover materials and coordination with impacted functions to ensure a successful transition
  • Understand the needs of the customers and build that into the services and delivery model by driving continuous improvement processes
  • Monitor the service centre’s performance via defined KPIs and lead weekly performance board meetings
  • Prepare and keep track of the budget, service level agreements and intercompany agreements for Regional Service Centre Europe

Qualifications

You have a master’s degree in business administration, HR or equivalent and you have a proven track record of successfully optimising processes and services and driving continuous improvement initiatives in larger global companies. You have solid experience with project and change management from driving transformations including experience from offshoring or transitioning activities between units. You are analytical, organised and able to plan and handle many different tasks. You have a systematic work approach with focus on details while maintaining the overview.

Furthermore, you are proactive, curious and eager towards finding new ways of simplifying and optimising work and processes. You have a strong customer mindset and solid business understanding which you use to develop sustainable solutions. To succeed you must have strong communication and stakeholder management skills as you will develop and execute project and change plans across multiple and different business units and stakeholders in Europe. Fluency in written and spoken English is a requirement.
