About the department

Your team counts 35 security officers and one service coordinator. Besides being responsible for our Security Gates it also includes Inspection Guard Duty. The employees are responsible, highly flexible and adaptive in an environment where the security work and focus often are required to change in a sometimes hectic environment.

The area is a part of Security & Facility Services and Corporate Facilities which ensures services to Novo Nordisk sites in Denmark.

The position

You will become the team leader of a highly engaged team and you will be working closely together with your service coordinator and the team to ensure our deliverables are on point and KPI´s are met. The team performs with high degree of empowerment and therefore the position requires an involving approach to leadership.

Gate Services work 24/7 schedule and you are expected to communicate within these hours when it is demanded. The position requires a strategic mindset as you will have an active say in carving the future strategic development of the area.

Your focus will be assuring your department delivers on short- and long-term targets. As the team leader you will maintain a safe and secure work environment for company staff and visitors by overseeing security operations of the company. You will be responsible for security personnel, developing and implementing security policy procedures, reviewing reports on incidents and breaches and investigating and resolving issues.

You will work cross functional within our Security area and work closely together with the rest of the security area to ensure the safety of our buildings, people and products. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the department quality setup and budgets including budget follow up.

As the Gate Services are spread over more locations on Zealand, the job will require your presence 4 days a week in the greater Copenhagen area and 1 day a week in Kalundborg.

Qualifications
Your foundation is an academic leadership education and you have a strong leadership background with a proven track record in leadership, preferable with 5-7 years’ experience in the security area or equivalent. You have a solid understanding of budget management (SAP), statistical data analysis and are experienced in developing and delivering on KPI´s. You have a solid background in working with deadlines and setting targets for an area to create strong results by engaging your employees in taking pride in delivering on their objectives.

On a personal level, you possess a strong ability to build relationships and create trust from both internal and external stakeholders. You have a motivational approach to employees and your strong communication skills assist you to communicate clearly and engage many different stakeholders.

Furthermore, you have the ability to make quick decisions when under pressure and have a strong leadership mindset with a track record of good professional performance and employee dedication. You are adept at communicating in Danish and English, both verbally and in writing.
