We are looking for a Technology Lead to drive the technical side of our Digital Accelerator unit. Our mission for you is to define and implement best practices within all aspects of software development into our dev-teams – from our dev-methods to dev-tools and platforms. We also expect you to be able to coach, challenge and support the dev. teams with ideas to improve the quality of the code. In other words, we need you to help ensure that our teams continue developing high-quality, future proof solutions founded in solid code.

The Digital Accelerator is part of a newly formed area within Global IT called Digital Incubator & Innovation. Our mission in life is to foster the digital innovation and transform Novo Nordisk.
The Digital Accelerator is staffed with passionate and committed colleagues working to support the transformation from a development point of view. Central to the Digital Accelerator is our Lighthouse initiatives which you will be working closely with. The Lighthouses provide innovative, high-impact, scalable digital solutions in a highly agile manner for the product teams (e.g. Product Supply, R&D, Commercial)

About the job
As Technology Lead, you will be deeply engaged with all product teams and have a broad technical understanding of what goes on in the different dev-teams. You leverage your insight to ensure fast technical ramp up of the dev-teams, re-use of code & services across the teams as well as general efficiencies, synergies and coordination across the teams.
The individual product teams define the business needs and project goals of the Lighthouse initiatives - your role will be to set and drive the technical strategy and standards to achieve the business needs and digital products goals in a pragmatic, balanced, and sustainable way.
In addition to this, you will have the responsibility of aligning the overall architectural direction of the Digital Accelerator and Digital Lighthouses to the rest of Global IT, as well as provide insight and understanding to Novo Nordisk with regards to what can be achieved with highly skilled, in-house dev-teams that work according to DevOps principles and IT-business alignment in real time.
We are a rapidly growing organisation that makes a significant impact across many business areas in Novo Nordisk. It is therefore important that you are proactive and a visionary, anticipating and reacting fast to opportunities, challenges and changes.
Qualifications
We look for a person with a strong technical background, with hands-on experience with many technology stacks and tools, and who are always curious about what’s emerging in the tech space. Since our products are primarily built on Microsoft Azure, we expect you to be a digital native in this area, have at least 5 years dev-experience using cloud services and tools, and are well-versed between CI/CD using tools like Azure DevOps.
As our teams work according to SCRUM we expect you to have several years of practical work experience with this method as well.
You have a creative, pragmatic and analytical mindset with the ability to quickly shift focus from small details to a high-level overview – without dropping the ball on the way. We expect you to “have what it takes” to engage in technical decisions at all levels – from the tools and standards we use across products, to the development approaches we apply.
As we are a global company you must be fluent in written and oral English.
