About the department
The “Strategy & Business Development” department is a newly established unit in Sourcing Operations (SoOp), where SoOp is responsible for the inbound supply chain of direct spend materials in Novo Nordisk. The position is anchored in the team “Digitalisation & Business Intelligence”, which are focusing on three main areas. Drive innovative digital initiatives that changes SoOp business model and provide new value-producing opportunities. Utilise business intelligence solutions with the purpose to design, develop and deploy supply chain processes in SoOp. Foster an innovative culture across the organisation and be frontrunners in driving our innovative agenda. Core focus is to remain forward-looking and showcase strong adaptability. Furthermore, the team is and must be working in a highly agile manner and be able to shift its focus based on rapidly changing opportunities within emerging technologies. Consequentially, you should expect the team structure to be dynamic as well.
The position
As Innovation Partner you will scout and collect ideas and new technologies from internal & external sources; screen, evaluate and select ideas for future development in line with the business needs. You will be expected to identify new opportunities to support the execution of new tech and ideas from the organization. You will also be responsible for facilitating specific ideation processes, both internally and externally, and challenge status quo in the organisation on systems, processes, solutions and mindsets. You should be comfortable with working on projects with a high level of unknows and capable of incubating initiatives from ideation, to proof of concept, to pilot, to implementation.
You will also be responsible for facilitating specific ideation processes both internally and externally. You should be able to convincingly and clearly communicate to stakeholders across the business and act as a trusted advisor with a strong understanding of business challenges and constraints. You will primarily focus on identifying an approach for internal and external collaboration within emerging technologies and building the demand for innovation within the organization. You should expect a big responsibility and high level of exposure in this role. Innovation is a strategic focus area in SoOp.
Qualifications
We are looking for a person with experience and passion for driving and communicating disruptive innovations. You should be able to tailor messages to relevant stakeholders from various levels of authority. As a person you are a strong team player who can collaborate well with a diverse group of stakeholders. Strong analytical, technical and business skills is needed to navigate the landscape of technologies and translate uncertainties into tangible opportunities for us.
Formally, we expect you to have 5 - 8 years of consulting, product management, project management and/or innovation experience, a relevant Master’s degree, rooted in technology and/or innovation management, constant upskilling and a track record that include one or more of the following:
• An innovation track record working on, or driving, disruptive projects from idea to launch
• A track record of taking ownership and driving results with the ability to perform in high-pressure environments
• Knowledge and passion for digital trends
• Experience in developing relationships and working with multiple stakeholder on high profile cross functional and multinational initiatives
• Vivid and curious learner
• Eagerness to be a part of building something new and challenge traditional methodologies
You should also be well-articulated, have excellent business English skills (oral and written), and be able to move stakeholders ranging from technically minded colleagues to management. Furthermore, you must be able to navigate between changing landscapes internally and externally – with an eye for win-win-solutions that truly matters.
