AI & Analytics CoE is part of Data Management & Analytics at Novo Nordisk. We use data to build and deliver value and insights to all of Novo Nordisk, supporting the needs of our patients. We are a fast growing team therefor we are looking for a strong people leader to head up our newly established AI & Analytics Centre of Excellence.
About the department
You will join our international team of developers, analysts and data scientist. The AI & Analytics CoE is an international, high performing team with a variety of technical, analytical and scientific backgrounds. The responsibilities of the department ranges from visualisation of data over to advanced statistics, AI/ML algorithms and engineering to deep learning. The success criteria is to ensure the solutions are embedded in the value chain so they actually creates a difference to the business and patients we are here to serve. We are cloud native and we are currently building our analytics and data science infrastructure on AWS on which we enable tools such as DataBricks, rStudio and the AWS Data Science suite.
We evangelise the opportunity to apply data and advanced analytics, initiating analytical initiatives and supporting data science users of our platform. We build and maintain our analytics environment to support our vision; which is to use data to gain new understandings and insights, drive optimisations and create true value to Novo Nordisk and the patients we serve.
The position
You will lead a growing team of currently 10 engaged colleagues with an office in our Global Business Services in Bangalore to support you and your team.
In this role you will enable AI and Analytics across Novo Nordisk by owning the AI & Analytics business plan across Novo Nordisk. You will collaborate closely with the Product Owner of the Enterprise Analytics Platform with whom you are responsible for securing processes and capabilities are in place to develop and operate the NN Enterprise Analytics Platform. Furthermore you will drive user adoption and implemented solutions through our Operating Model.
You will together with your team deliver world class data science solutions and you will drive our weekly co-developer days. More importantly you will drive people development globally within the field of Advanced Analytics, Data Science and ML engineering both within your own team but also catering for the needs of the rest of the organisation.
As part of the job will be a member of the Global DM&A leadership team with whom you actively will drive the Data Management & Analytics Strategy across the company. Finally you will communicate and embed Data Science across the organisation by demonstrating the value together with the Product Owner of the Analytics Platform as well as the Business Development Partners across Global IT.
Qualifications
You hold an MSc or similar graduate degree in bioinformatics, math, physics, engineering, computer science or other relevant fields with 5-10 years of experience within Data Science, IT or leadership ideally combined with working in agile organisations that have driven the adoption of cloud technology and data science across several functions. You have worked within the domain of Advanced Analytics or Data Science for several years and have a proven track record as a well trusted and respected leader in the teams you have been responsible for.
You are very nice to be around, gets the job done, you understand the importance of securing a safe and sound work environment driving high performing teams with a nice and relaxed yet productive atmosphere. Finally, you must have experience in managing key senior management stakeholders through effective communication, driving adoption of the Data Management & Analytics Strategy across all relevant levels of the organisation.
It is a given that you have excellent communication skills in English both written and spoken.
