The job
Biopharmaceutical Products is one of two departments (the other one is Biopharmaceutical Processes) within LEO focusing on the CMC development of biologics. The departments were started in 2017 and since then there has been a strong focus on building biologics CMC capabilities within LEO to support a growing pipeline on monoclonal antibodies.
As Senior Manager of Biopharmaceutical Products, you will head up a department of 14 highly skilled and experienced persons constituted by Formulation and Analytical Scientists and Technicians, all with the focus on developing biologics products from discovery to market and supporting and post launch activities (LCM). All projects are run as external partnerships with extensive CDMO/CRO collaborations. The department is responsible for all CMC product activities throughout the full value chain for monoclonal antibodies including; developability studies, development of formulations and analytical methods, M3 module documentation, feasibility studies and IMP productions.
You will join a leadership team (Biologics & Early Development, B&ED) with three Sr. Manager colleagues and a Scientific Advisor and report directly to the Senior Director of B&ED. You will also be part of the extended leadership team for the larger CMC organisation, Pharmaceutical Design and Development, and for R&D.

You are also expected to develop your employees and the department processes, secure transparency and optimal resource prioritisation, as well as collaborate proactively in the leadership team and in cross-organisational assignments to create long lasting results for the organisation.

You have:
A university degree within natural sciences 3+ years of managerial experience and 5+ years of experience from the pharmaceutical industry Extensive experience from working with biologics and especially monoclonal antibodies Experience from working with external partners and CRO´s/CDMO´s Strong collaboration skills and experience from working in cross functional teams and matrix organizations Personal drive for results, a strategic mindset and an impactful behavior that creates follow-ship Strong proficiency in written and spoken English
