This is a unique opportunity for you to be part of the Ambu Global Supply Chain team in an exciting key role as Head of Distribution. We are looking for a new colleague to join our team on the journey of growing and improving Global Supply Chain.
Ambu is an international and inspiring company with ambitious growth targets. We develop, produce and sell medical devices that enable doctors and nurses to save lives on a daily basis.
You will join the Distribution Team, which currently comprises of 4 experienced and dedicated colleagues with a broad background within Shipping, Distribution and Warehousing. You will report to the VP Global Supply Chain and work closely with stakeholders within Ambu, such as Logistics on our manufacturing sites but also Sales, R&D And finance. Besides this you will have a wide range of responsibilities and reach out to our external partners, 3PL logistics, Warehouses and freight companies across the globe.
The Distribution team works out of Ambu’s headquarters in Ballerup.

The Distribution team works out of Ambu’s headquarters in Ballerup.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of maintaining optimizing current/new route and distribution flows, incl. setting an overall distribution strategy
- Supplier management of 3PL’s suppliers and global freight providers
- Ensure daily optimal flow of good, so monitoring Leadtime and performance in regards to AIR/SEA/RAIL freight
- Budget planning, performance monitoring and reporting
- Secure optimal 3PL (daily) operations including setting procedures, warehouse space coordination and quality management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory/legal requirements across distribution network
- Be Ambu’s internal go to specialist on freight and warehousing including systems (we use M3 as our ERP system)
- Monthly + Quarterly with Planning in regard to Freight and Warehouse Capacity

Experience within Shipping/Distribution:
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience from a similar position
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team-oriented mindset
- High energetic drive, motivation, and accountability
- You have a relevant education and fluency in English, both spoken and written
- It’s a plus to have worked with a 3PL setup and with shipments out of/to Far East
- Knows how to work in an ERP system
