As Scientific Affairs Director, you will develop and drive the execution of the Global Strategic Medical plan for Kyntheum® and lead the global medical affairs team consisting of four very experienced and strong Scientific Advisors.
You will provide directions, give input to and support the portfolio strategy and product positioning. By working closely with dedicated Scientific Affairs staff in the affiliates, the Scientific Affairs Director will lead and improve Medical/Scientific Affairs activities and encourage best practice striving for excellence. This is done partly based on the robust, insights-driven, fact-based and forward-looking Scientific Affairs Operations Plan that you will deliver and drive the execution of.
Furthermore, you will function as a role model in a performance culture and provide leadership through cross-functional and external orientation, partnering within the Global Bio Dermatology team and with Region Europe+, GS&PM and R&D.
Can you identify yourself with strong leadership and scientific skills?
With an educational background as e.g. Medical Doctor, M.Sc. Pharmacy or business bachelor degree, you have + 10 years of experience within pharma, with several years of leadership experience and minimum 5 years of experience from Scientific Affairs/Medical Affairs roles (regional and/or global) within immunology/ autoimmune disease area in the biologic field. To succeed, it is vital that you possess the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams and partners both inside and outside the organisation. Furthermore, you have a strategic outlook, and a senior leadership perspective together with a strong sense of urgency and priority setting.
Global Bio-Dermatology
The global Bio-Dermatology business unit is placed under Region Europe+ as LEO Pharma holds the European license to market Brodalumab under the name Kyntheum®. The regional head office is based at the group headquarters in Denmark. The Global Bio-Dermatology department consists of a team of 20 working within Scientific Affairs, Patient Solutions, Patient Access, R&D. The Scientific Affairs Director will be reporting to the Executive Director, Bio Dermatology. The global Bio-Dermatology team is very international and consists of colleagues of various nationalities. The work environment is positive, warm and open with excellent opportunities for individual and professional development.
Ideally, you live either in Denmark or, if in other European countries, it is expected that you can spend around 3 days a week in the HQ in Denmark. This role requires travel activities primarily within Europe.
