Your position
Semco Maritime is seeking a technically skilled individual to build and lead a new E&I team within our Engineering & Projects organization under the Transitional Energies division. This role is designed for professionals with a robust technical background in E&I engineering, looking to step into their first leadership role. We are committed to supporting your development into this new phase of your career.
At Semco Maritime safety is a core value, and in this role, you will contribute to maintaining and promoting a strong safety culture while delivering innovative solutions. Above all, your work will make a real change for the global energy sector.
Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg, the hub of the Danish energy industry, right on the waterfront – views do not get any better than this. The position is full-time, and you can expect to travel 0-20 days per year.

Your tasks & responsibilities
Your tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Team Development: Establish and develop a new team of system engineers, designers, and electrical and instrumentation specialists.
- Operational Leadership: Manage the team's daily operations effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Technical Support and Guidance: Work closely with engineers to provide technical support and ensure project deliverables meet the required standards.
- Resource Management: Plan and coordinate resources and schedules for team activities, ensuring optimal productivity.
- Safety and Compliance: Actively work to enhance safety and minimize risks, adhering to the company's health, safety, quality, and environmental policies.
- Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain high standards of customer service and foster strong relationships with stakeholders across global divisions.
Your profile & qualifications
We are looking for an ambitious and driven engineer who is passionate about E&I engineering and wants to leave their personal mark on it. You have a proactive and organised approach to your work and are eager to make a difference.
To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:
- Strong background in system engineering, preferably with experience in brownfield projects.
- Aspiring to move into a leadership role, with a proactive approach and solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building relationships and engaging effectively with both team members and clients.
- In-depth understanding of relevant legislation and standards.
- Focused on continuous improvement of workflows and solutions within the company.
- Engineering Degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Previous role in an engineering position, ideally within the energy sector.
- Fluency in both Danish and English.
