Head of Product Management
Do you have the aspiration and skills to lead our Product Management team? At Aasted, we have worked intensively with Product Management in recent years. We are now looking for our future Head of Product Management to continue the journey which we call Product Management 2.0, where we have an increased focus on product economics, quality management, energy, and sustainability.
The team
As Head of Product Management, you will lead 15 dedicated employees, primarily with an engineering background, who professionally cover our products on mechanics, electrical hardware, and software. The team is characterized by a high level of professionalism in the classic engineering disciplines and team spirit. You will report to our CTO and will be part of his management team in the Technology business area.
The job
As Head of Product Management, you are responsible for driving the overall strategy for Product Management and ensuring that the right resources and skills are present.
You will be responsible for a coordinated and consolidated portfolio of Aasted's core products. Your main task will be to develop and run the Product-Life-Cycle-Management (PLM) process for these products and make recommendations to the management.
Our R&D department continuously adds new products to the portfolio. The Product Management department works in tandem with R&D until the handover, and takes over the responsibility for the product, documentation, and target cost at the end of the R&D project.
You will be responsible for establishing and monitoring Product Performance on agreed product key figures, so that we continuously adjust the products correctly. This also includes recommendations for product discontinuation.
At Aasted, we have an ambitious sustainability agenda. This means, among other things, that we want to qualify and document the CO2 footprint and TCO of our products. In collaboration with our Sustainability Manager, you will find the proper method and tool so that environmental impact becomes a permanent part of our product master data.
About you
You have an educational background as an engineer (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) within PLM or product development. You have experience from an industrial company with production equipment, preferably from the food industry, and have a minimum of 3 years of experience in project and personnel management.
You are a leader who naturally takes the lead, guides and supports the team. You can communicate and create commitment, also strategies and initiatives for both your team and the top management. In addition, you understand the importance of developing good relationships with your stakeholders.
You will relate to the entire value chain, as the work in Product Management forms the basis for sales, supply, and production activities. Therefore, you must be analytical, a strong communicator, and a team player. Furthermore, a solid financial understanding is essential for setting the right priorities, so potential and actual gains can be documented. In addition, you are an experienced Excel user and have control over ERP systems.
